MONDAYEVANGELISTIC PRAYER
Chronological Bible Reading: 1 Chronicles 28-29; John 8:1-30
Monday, May 25
Psa. 68:10 Thy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O God, hast prepared of thy
goodness for the poor.
Most Gracious God:
All your gifts are prepared gifts. You anticipate our needs and store up your
treasures. Lord, I know __________ and __________ who have need of
salvation. I claim your promise that you provide good for the poor. Use me to
provide them the good news of the gospel, because that is what they need most.
You foreknew their sin. You know their poverty of heart; I see their
poorness of spirit every day I am around them. Im sure if they had their life to
live over again, they would trust Jesus much earlier if they only knewI mean
really knewwhat he could and would provide.
Your supplies of salvation are ready, so now make their heart ready for the
gospel! Make their mind ready to concede and confess their own sin. Do the
work I cannot do to convict them of their transgressions. Make them see how
poor they really are, so they can claim your riches of redemption prepared for
them in Christ Jesus, prepared in advance of all their need. Soften their hearts.
Your grace is sufficient. There is no lack in you. It will not make you any
less rich, or cost you any more, to increase your kingdom by one or two people
today. Expand the tent! The comfort their heart is waiting for is ready. You have
thought about them. I plead the promise and believe it.
The crimson fountain of Christs blood is still open for them. It will wash
away their sin. You supply a remedy completely equal to their emergency. Open
their heart to the gospel message. Be with others out of our church as we all seek
to get those who are lost to believe on Jesus for eternal life, and call for
themselves upon his name. Do it for your own glory today. Amen.
A DAILY PATTERN FOR PRAYER & BIBLE READING
Chronological Bible Reading: 2Chronicles 7-9; John 9:21-41
Thursday, May 28
Num. 20:11 And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice:
and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.
WEDNESDAYREVIVAL PRAYING
Chronological Bible Reading: 2 Chronicles 4-6; John 9:1-20
Wednesday, May 27
Luke 18:38 And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
Matt. 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Glorious God Our Father:
Purity of heart is the main thing. It is the prime objective. It is my goal for
today. Make me clean inside by the action of the Spirit of God, washing the
word of God over my conscience. Then make me clean outside by consecration
to your will, and obedience to what I read and hear. Then make me clean in
action through my consecration to your Eternal Purpose.
My emotions are linked to my understanding. If I love evil I do not see any
good in goodness. If my heart is defiled then my eyesight is dim. I can never see a
holy God while I am looking at unholy things. Help me start with my heart today!
I want to see God right here. I want to catch a glimpse of his glory at my
work, in my life, and around my home. I want to see your truth as it is in Jesus,
with your love, purpose, plan, covenant and character. But I can only apprehend
those things as I keep sin out of my heart.
Help me aim at godliness so I can cry,
Psa. 25:15 Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD;
Put in my heart the desire of Moses when he said,
Exod. 33:18 I beseech thee, show me thy glory.
Help me purify my life so I can say with David,
Psa. 25:4 Show me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
You only give the map of your path and your way to those who are living
according to the hope they have of being like Christ, because
1 John 3:3 Every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
I want fellowship with you now and conformity to Christ in the
future. Those are my motives. I would see Jesus today. Amen.
FRIDAY CORPORATE PRAYER MINISTRY
Chronological Bible Reading: 2 Chronicles 10-12; John 10:1-21
Friday, May 29
Psa. 145:2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
O Father:
Raise up many intercessors in our church, since fulfillment of your vision
starts with this. Give them the spirit of prayer to plead for the prosperity of Zion.
Give us no rest until you establish us, and make us a joy in our city.
There are some of us who cry to you about our community. You know
how in secret, we groan and sigh over her evils. You have started to hear us
already, because we desire to praise and bless your name.
Roll us away from our sin. Deliver our people from the curses of
drunkenness, gambling, infidelity, religious bigotry, racism, humanism,
rationalizing and justifying ourselves, our anger and our hatred, and every other
evil. Are not these the things that destroy our cities today? Bring us back to you,
to our family and home, and to fellowship with other believers.
Bring the multitudes of the working men and women of this city into
our doors to hear the gospel. Break through their stubborn indifference. Afflict
the comfortable, because there are so many who stay in bed on Sunday and
complain of your absence on Monday! They give no thought to worship you, but
only how you can help them in their misery. Lord, give them all a love for your
house, a love for your people, and a desire to hear the preaching of your word.
Then look on the poor, rich-people we have. Our entire country is 1%
compared to the world. Today we worship our wealth and are apathetic in our
affluence. Wrapped-up in self-righteousness, we are smothered to death in our
security. Bring all who are that way out to hear the gospel, so they can also come
to Christ. Bless our city with more gospel light, with more gospel life, and with
more gospel love. Hear us, O Lord, as we pray! Amen.
Psa. 48:14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto
death.
Gracious Lord and Mighty Father:
Help me not forget your wonders, but meditate on them. Remind me of
your past mercies in seasons of success as well as times of trial. Grateful
memories can both sweeten my sorrows and sober my joys.
Where you are most seen you are best loved. When I assemble with the
other saints on Sunday, we constitute a living temple. Center my deepest
thoughts tomorrow on your lovingkindness revealed in the experiences of this
past week. Make memories of your mercies lead me to continual praise.
Not just all of our church, but each individual member ought to rejoice in
you and magnify your name in front of others. So many of my friends see God
too small! No, you are much larger than any can imagine. Magnify yourself in my
adversitiesand my reactions to adversitiesso then Christ is exalted and the
cross made prominent. Give me a new level of brokenness, that in my
weakness they will see your manifested strength.
My security as your child is not a doctrine to be kept hidden in the
background. Give me ample illustrations that teach the truth of divine adoption,
so others can think about the safety your children always have with you. I give
you thanks for the hope of eternal joy.
Guide me this day, and throughout life. Lead me graciously to the deepest
(and best) part of the river of your will. I am waiting for you. I look to you for
power, because that hope is consistent with what youve done for me in the past.
I bid farewell to fear. I say, Come gratitude; come faith. Let us sing
joyously to our God. Do it for the honor of Jesus name! Amen.

TEAMWORD
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;
but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Baptists tend to ridicule liturgical churches that use "prepared prayers" because
they lack spontaneity. But for many Baptists, their prayers are so predictable they are
no more spontaneous than written-out prayers. The result is we end up praying the
same things over and over.
This daily Prayer Diary will prompt you on a wide range of prayer requests you
might not normally think of, while forcing you to articulate a deeper devotion to
God. We have included a daily Bible reading schedule. This plan will take you
through the Bible chronologically in a year.
Do not read ahead and do not try to catch up. Use each day as it comes. Then
you can know that on any given day, dozens of other people are lifting their hearts in
the same mind to God. Pray what is written, but use what is prayed as a springboard
for your own relationship with God. You learn to pray by praying.

NEXT SUNDAY
Lords Supper all services, and HarvestKids LA luncheon & Preschool
training at 1:00P.M. No evening service.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DAY OF EVERY WEEK. You should fellowship
with a group of believers around the word of God every Sunday in our church.
Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the
strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus
Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had
prayed.
Oh, says one, I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times
and seasons for prayer. And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of
prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the
injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore
there must not be some season for more immediately coming into Gods presence. If
you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus
Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather
than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and
exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be
deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only
spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayerthe posture, the
time, placerather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition.
God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son.
Charles H. Spurgeon, 1834-92
