IN-STORE PERSONAL GROOMING AND UNIFORM DRESS CODE ur employees represent the image of Jimmy John’s Enterprises, LLC or Jimmy John’s Franchise, LLC (the*Company") to every customer they serve. Because of this and the necessity to maintain consistency chain-wide, their attire must always be neat, clean and in good condition (no holes, ips frays, or stains) with adherence to the rules below. Anything, thats not expressly stated inthis dress code may not be worn. ifa manager believes an employee looks sloppy they should be sent home at the managers discretion to correct the problem, HYGIENE General -You must be freshly showered and ador-free atthe beginning ofthe shift. You may not use or smell ke tobacco or alcohol while working or on store property (this includes electronic cigarettes and pipes). No heavy or glitter makeup, heavy cologne or perfume is allowed, You may nat chew gum during your shit. Hair- Must be clean and free of odor. Halrstyles must be well-maintained and present a neat appearance, Har that hangs below the bottom of the shirt collar must be worn in a ponytail or put into your hat. All hair in front and sides (of head must be tucked into hat. Coloring of hai limited to natural hair colors only (no purple, green, etc) Al visible hair restraints must be plain and simple. Facial Hair ~ Must be clean-shaven atthe beginning ofthe shift. Beards and mustaches must be neatly tmmed and ‘must be a maximum of a quarter inch in length. f you have a beard you must shave below your Jaw line to create a ‘lean distinctive line and shave a portion of your cheek to create a clean distinctive line. Hands - Hands must be washed and thoroughly dried before starting to work with food. Hands must be washed between tasks and if your work with food is interrupted. your municipality requires gloves, you must wear them and. ‘change them often. Employees wearing fingernail polish or artificial nails must wear intact gloves while working with food. Fingernail length cannot exceed 4" CLOTHING Shirt- An approved Jimmy Johns tshirt. Management may wear an approved Jimmy John’ polo style shirt. Shirts that are faded or that have faded or worn lettering may not be worn. All shirts must be worn tucked, ‘Under Shirt ~ Short sleeve t-shirts that are worn under an approved shirt must be black or white and the sleeves ‘cannot extend beyond the sleeves ofthe uniform shirt. A plain black, crew or V neck, compression style long sleeve shirt (Sleeve must not exceed wrist or cover any portion ofthe hand) may be worn underneath a Jimmy John's black t-shirt ora black Jimmy John’s polo style shirt. All logos on under shirts must be non-vsible. Oly a short sieeve white undershirt may be worn under a white 1's polo Hat -An approved Jimmy John’s hat or visor Hats and visors must be worn with bil facing straight forward and fit securely on the head. Pants — Pain blue jeans or plain medium tan khaki pants. No patches, shiny items, or excessive stitching are allowed, Pants must come below your ankle bone and pant legs may not be rolled or cuffed, Pants may not be tucked into shoes unless wearing approved winter boots. Skinny jeans or skinny khakis, Baggy, sagging or cargo pants are not permitted. They must tie and be fully laced on the front (laces tightly tied) (or Secured a all times. When wearing shorts, you must wear athletic shoes. Dress Shoes - Must be black or dark brown leather shoes. The soles and shoes must be black or dark brown, ‘Socks - All socks must cover the ankle bone, and when wearing shorts, may not exceed the mid-calf. Socks must be black or white when wearing athletic shoes, Socks must match the color of the pants or shoe when wearing, dress shoes, BIKE DELIVERY DRIVER Gycling caps ~ May wear the approved Jimmy John’ cycling cap. Bike Jersey - May wear the approved Jimmy John’s bike jersey. Shorts ~ May wear all black Baggy Style" non-cargo cycling shorts when wearing the approved Jimmy Jobs bike jersey. The shorts must be made specifically for cycling. They must be atleast mid-thigh and may not hang below the bottom ofthe knee. Shorts must be worn at waist height, Pants - May use a Velcto strap to secure thelr pant leg sot does not get caught in thelr bike chain, Tights - May wear plain black compression tights under their shorts. They must come below their ankle bone, All logos on tights must be non visible. ycling Shoes - May wear cycling shoes. They must fllow the rules fr athletic shoes. Helmets Must wear pain bike helmet while delivering ona bike. JEWELRY Earrings - Only one pai, single post earring per ear. Faces of earrings must be Vor small, Small hoop earings ‘must be no biager than th size ofa dime, No other visible piercings allowed; no facial or tongue piercings permitted All holes in ears resulting from gauges or plugs that are the size of a dime and larger than 3/32" must be filled with a aos Softwear Flesh Tone Hider Plug that matches the color of the employee's skin, The approved sizes are from 9/16" (4mm) to 3/32" (244mm). Gauge holes that are larger than a dime must be covered by Band-Aids. Tattoos may only be covered by approved clothing. Make up, band-aids rings, watches, and aprons, etc. are not approved for covering tattoos,INCLEMENT WEATHER WEAR Jackets - Drivers and employees working outside ofthe store, may wear jackets during cold weather. Drive theu ‘window operators may wear approved Jimmy John’s branded jackets or Jimmy John’s branded fullzippered sweat shirts during cold weather. Boots - During cold/wintery weather drivers are permitted to wear black or dark brown Timberland style/snow boots, ‘Stocking Hats - During cold weather delivery drivers and employees working outside ofthe store may wear the ap proved stocking hat with the logo facing straight forward. Other Inclement Weather Wear - Winter Face covers, gloves, scarfs, nd rain gear are approved to keep delivery divers warm and dry during cold/wintery/rainy weather while on deliveries. NOTE: Changes in the dress code and the design of Jimmy John’s shirts and hats may take place from time to time. A written notice will be sent to all franchisees as this occurs. Allstores must comply with the current and any future specifica tions. Each Employer should independently consider requests or exceptions based on legally protected religious obser- vances and as reasonable accommodation to an employee's disability.
