ASCO Power Transfer Load Centers: Power Continuity
And Surge Protection In a Single Enclosure
Product Features

Product Benefits

ASCO Series 300 and 7000 Power

Transfer Load Centers integrate the
most commonly specified components required to help protect
system loads from power outages,
sags, surges and over-current protection of load conductors.

Integrating components and

factory wiring them into one
enclosure significantly reduces
installation time, overall cost and
minimizes on site problems and
installation errors.

that distributes 240/120 volt
single phase or 208/120V three
phase power to site equipment.
Main and alternate source circuit
breakers that provide over-current protection and disconnect
for convenient and safe serviceability.
Transient voltage surge suppression for normal and emergency
power sources.
Optional ASCO Thin Web Server

with a single site or a network of
sites spanning the country.

ASCO Series 300 Power Transfer Load Center

with quick-connect Cam-Lok assembly
and Telco section

Optional Telco cabinet for customer mounting of telephone

equipment.

The shallow, space saving design

provides easy access and serviceability. The load center is service
entrance rated, listed to UL 67
and is available in a UL Type 1
(indoor) or UL Type 3R (outdoor)
enclosure.
When power fails, the automatic
transfer switch follows user-set
time delays to start the generator, transfer the load to the generator, reconnect to utility power
when it returns and shut down
the generator after generator
cool down. An automatic engine
exerciser tests the generator with
or without loads.
The load center also has a controls and status indicators panel.
Controls include a test, time delay bypass and engine exerciser
switches. LEDs indicate transfer
switch position and source availability status.

Project management you can depend

on for your mission-critical loads

Why Manage Multiple Components?

Multiple power-related cabinets and components consume valuable floor and wall space inside equipment
shelters at communications sites.

Integrating components into a single, space-saving

cabinet is the answer. The components operate as a
power transfer load center.

The area they demand, including mandated clearances, can total as much as 23 sq. feet for 200 or 400
Amp Services.

Benefits include reducing installation costs, time,

potential errors and improved reliability.

And when multiple components are located outside of

shelters, the potential for leaks and weather-induced
damage is that much greater.

ASCO Power Technologies offers a comprehensive

family of power transfer load centers that can be
tailored to virtually any site.

With space at a premium and more advanced communications technologies being installed at sites, it
makes sense to streamline and simplify site power
protection and distribution strategies.

7000 Series Microprocessor Controller

The 7000 SERIES Microprocessor Based Controller is used with all sizes of Power
Transfer Switches from 30 through 4000 Amperes. It represents the most advanced
digital controller in the industry and includes, as standard, all of the voltage,
frequency, control, timing and diagnostic functions required for most emergency
and standby power applications.
Because of severe voltage transients frequently encountered with industrial
distribution systems, the microprocessor logic board is separated and isolated from
the power board as shown below. This improves electrical noise immunity performance
and helps assure compliance with the rigorous transient suppression standards highlighted below.
