WARNING
Before you ride, you need to make sure you and your
Enertia are both ready. To help get you prepared, this
section discusses how to evaluate your riding readiness,
what items you should check on your Enertia, and
adjustments to make for your comfort, convenience, and
safety. This section also includes important information
about loading.
Before you ride your Enertia for the first time, we urge
you to:
Read this owners manual.
Make sure you understand all the safety messages.
Know how to operate all the controls
Before each ride, be sure you:
Feel well and are in good physical and mental
condition.
Are wearing an approved motorcycle helmet (with
chin strap tightened securely), eye protection, and
other protective clothing.
Dont have any alcohol or drugs in your system.
Before Riding
WARNING
Not wearing a helmet increases the chance of serious
injury or death in a crash.
Be sure you always wear a helmet, eye protection, and
other protective apparel when you ride.
Your helmet is your most important piece of riding gear
because it offers the best protection against head
injuries. A helmet should fit your head comfortably and
securely. A bright-colored helmet and reflective strips
can make you more noticeable in traffic.
An open-face helmet offers some protection, but a fullface helmet offers more. Regardless of the style, look for
a DOT (Department of Transportation) sticker on any
helmet you buy (USA only). Always wear a face shield or
goggles to protect your eyes and help your vision.

Ready to Ride?
RIDER TRAINING
Developing your riding skills is an ongoing process. Even
if you have ridden other motorcycles, take time to
become familiar with how this motorcycle works and
handles. Practice riding the Enertia in a safe area to build
your skills. Do not ride in traffic until you get accustomed
to the Enertias controls and feel comfortable with its size
and weight.
We urge all riders to take a government-certified riding
course. New riders should start with the basic course, and
even experienced riders will find the advanced course
beneficial.
20
Before Riding
WARNING
If you notice any damage or find a problem while
inspecting the Enertia, please correct it or have your
Brammo Authorized Service Agent correct it before
you ride.
Check the following items before you get on the Enertia:
Wheels and tires
Look at the tires. If a tire appears low, use an air
pressure gauge to check its pressure. Also look for
signs of excessive wear or damage to the tires and
wheels.
Chain
Check the condition of the chain. Adjust slack and
lubricate as needed.
Leaks and loose parts
Walk around your Enertia and look for anything that
appears unusual, such as a leak or loose parts.

LOADING
WARNING
Overloading or improper loading can cause a crash
and you can be seriously hurt or killed.
Follow all load limits and other loading guidelines in
this manual.
How much weight you put on your Enertia, and how you
load it, are important for your safety. Any time you ride
with cargo, you should be aware of the following
information.
22
Loading Guidelines
The maximum weight capacity of your Enertia is 276 lbs
(125 kg). This includes the weight of the rider, all cargo,
and all accessories.
Your Enertia is primarily intended for transporting you,
although you may wish to secure a jacket or other small
items to the seat. If you wish to carry more cargo, check
with your Brammo Authorized Service Agent for advice,
a n d b e s u r e t o r e a d t h e i n f o r m a t i o n re g a r d i n g
accessories.
Improperly loading your Enertia can affect its stability
and handling. Even if your Enertia is properly loaded, you
should ride at reduced speeds when carrying cargo.
Follow these guidelines whenever you carry cargo:
Check that both tires are properly inflated.
If you change your normal load, you may need to
adjust the suspension.
To prevent loose items from creating a hazard, make
sure that all cargo is tied down securely.
Place cargo weight as low and close to the center of
your Enertia as possible.
Balance cargo weight evenly on both sides.

WARNING
High-pressure water (or air) can damage certain parts
of you Enertia.
Frequent cleaning and polishing will keep your Enertia
looking newer for longer and identifies you as an owner
who values your Enertia. A clean Enertia is also easier to
inspect and service.
To clean your Enertia, you may use:
Water
A mild, neutral detergent and water
A mild spray and wipe cleaner/polisher
A mild spray and rinse cleaner/degreaser and water
66
Washing
Note: We recommend the use of a garden hose to wash
your Enertia. High-pressure washers (like those at coinoperated car washes) can damage certain parts.
1. Wash your Enertia with a sponge or a soft towel, mild
detergent, and plenty of water.
2. Use care when cleaning the matte plastic parts (dash,
fenders, and side panels), which can scratch easier
than the other parts of your Enertia.
3. After washing, rinse your Enertia thoroughly with
plenty of clean water to remove any detergent
residue.
4. Dry your Enertia with a chamois or a soft, dry towel.
5. Use a spray cleaner/polish or a quality liquid or paste
wax on the painted body panels (apply according to
the container instructions).
6. Touch up any chipped paint or scratches (contact your
Brammo Authorized Service Agent for touch-up
paint).
7. After cleaning, inspect for damage, wear, and leaks.
8. Lubricate the chain to prevent rusting.
9. As a precaution, ride your Enertia at a slow speed and
apply the brakes several times. This will help dry the
brakes and restore normal braking.
Recommended Cleaning
Matte Surfaces
Use a soft cloth or sponge, plenty of water, and mild
detergent to clean the matte surfaces. Dry with a soft,
clean cloth.
Do not use polishing compounds or wax containing
polishing compounds on these surfaces. These can

Motorradfahrer verursacht. Aus diesem Grund empfehlen wir
allen Motorradfahrern dringend die Teilnahme an
zertifizierten offiziellen Motorradfahrkursen.
Fahren Sie vorsichtig, seien Sie kein Draufgnger Die
hufigsten Motorradunflle geschehen, wenn ein entgegen
kommendes Fahrzeug vor dem Motorrad links abbiegt. Eine
andere bliche Gefahrensituation entsteht, wenn ein
Fahrzeug pltzlich vor dem Motorrad auftaucht. Achten Sie

Waschen
Hinweis: Wir empfehlen Ihnen zum Waschen Ihrer Enertia die
Verwendung eines Gartenschlauchs.
Hochdruckwaschanlagen (wie sie in Mnz-/
Steckkartenbetrieben an Tankstellen blich sind) knnen
bestimmte Teile beschdigen.
1. Waschen Sie Ihre Enertia von Hand mit einem Schwamm
oder einem weichen Tuch, einem milden Reinigungsmittel
und sehr viel Wasser.
2. Bitte reinigen Sie die matten Oberflchen der
Kunststoffteile besonders vorsichtig (Armaturenbrett,
Kotflgel und Seitenverkleidungen), da diese leichter als
andere Teile Ihrer Maschine verkratzen.

einschtzen knnen. Stellen Sie die Maschine auf einem
festen, ebenen Untergrund auf dem Stnder ab.
Prfen Sie die Reifenprofile und Flanken auf Fremdobjekte
oder Schden. Wenn ein Reifen ein Loch oder eine
Beschdigung hat, haben Sie zwei Mglichkeiten.
Option 1 - Sie lassen Ihre Enertia abholen
Lsung. Nhere Informationen zum Transport siehe
Transport Ihrer Enertia, Seite 69.
DE
REPARATUR-INFORMATIONEN
Platter Reifen

estn desgastadas.
Las pastillas gastadas deben cambiarse. Si no estn gastadas

endommagement. Si l'un des pneus est perc ou
endommag, deux solutions s'offrent vous.
Solution 1 - Remorquage de l'Enertia

PULIZIA DELL'ENERTIA
Aspetto e cura
AVVERTENZA
L'acqua (o l'aria) ad alta pressione pu danneggiare alcuni
componenti dell'Enertia.
