0 INTRODUCTION
Many Universities provide the option of performing administrative tasks over a computer
network .These tasks include obtaining information about subject availability, registering for
courses, changing courses or updating university records. This is much more convenient for all
students than standing in line and running from one office to another during prescribed office
hours.
1.1 Background and Setting
The Electronic Campus is gaining a reputation as the nation's most successful marketplace of
distance learning courses, programs and services. With hundreds of colleges and universities
offering thousands of accredited courses and nearly 400 degree programs, the Electronic
Campus is the place to start for distance learning. Courses and programs are offered in a
variety of disciplines and at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Among the fields
represented are business, education, computer science and nursing.
How to login into the online services is students need to type online.unikl.edu.my at web
browser and refer to the login screen.If the page is displayed, please read the instructions if you
are a first timer getinto this page. To proceed, click Login Here. The default password can be
changed upon successfully entered the online. If students forgot their password there are two
ways you can recover your password.First is you can contact AAD to reset your password.
Once reset, the password willgo back to IC number and second at the Login screen, you can
click Forgot password? Please click here.If you would like the system to respond to you, your
email address in the onlinemust be updated and correct.
Semester Registration is the registration process to become an active and registered student in
a particular semester. Students must register semester via online services within the allowable
timeline. The online semester registration is open one week before class begins and close by
Friday night of week 1. Online semester registration is not allowed during late semester
registration week (Week 2). Students who fail to officially register may be deferred or
terminated by the University. The online semester registration will only be opened one (1) week
before the class begins andend on the Friday night of academic week 1.

1.2 Statement of the Problem

For this field of research, we are emphasizing on the impact and benefit to students use e-citie.
Besides that, we would also like to know the effectiveness of using e-citie among the student in
UniKL Business School. We want to know if they satisfied using e-citie or they need some
improvement. All these problems mentioned above are reason of this research done for us.
In short, from our perspective, we can bring out a number of problem definitions key elements,
that are:

using e-citie, students can know latest announcement, update their profile, they also can
checking their attendance and many benefit they can get when using e-citie. These objectives

1.5 Limitations of the Study
Our research is for student of UniKL Business School only, we not do our reseach to all
UniKL campuses.
1.6 Significance of the Problem
For us, as a student of UniKL Business School we using ecitie for check our result every
semester, know our attendance, can get our exam slip and also can do add and drop
subject through online and they no need to go to office. Students can access ecitie
everywhere when they have internet connection, so that it is easily for students know latest
information from ecitie about timetable and see their result.
Ecitie can collects personal identifying information from you including, but not limited to,
your name, date of birth, address, e-mail address, telephone number, grade level, Social
Security number, educational experience, activities and interests; and additional information
you choose to include in your profile but all information is private.
When usingecitie, our advisor can monitor us using study planner that provided at ecitieand
we also need approval from advisor when add and drop subject. When we have a problem
to access ecitie such as forgot a password, we can contact Hunting Line or

ITD

Chancellery Helpdesk. Ecitie also provide Frequenly Ask Question (FAQ) if student have
problem to access ecitie.
