USE: BY

Use by if we want to say who or what does the action.

We dont use by if the person or object that does the action is unknown,
unimportant or obvious.

Passive: Past Simple


USES:
Use the passive in the past simple to focus on actions in the past.
The museum was opened in 2002.
The shoes were made by local people.
The past simple passive is often used in formal speech, in written
reports and news articles.
The miners were rescued yesterday.
