you can open the Configuration Wizard by double clicking on the usa_nt_wiz.exe file that is located in the
'..\Toon Boom Animation\Harmony 9.2\nt\bin\' folder. This will open up the Toon Boom Harmony
Configuration Wizard as shown in the image above.

Now click on the setup button (highlighted above in the image). The Toon Boom Harmony: Database
Creation page opens (image below)

C. Create the database

This page is to specify what type of database setup will be done on this system. You can either specify a client

local database on this system
1. Select the Server/Standalone radio button
2. Click Next >
This will bring up the following Warning Dialog.

Click OK
This will bring up the Toon Boom Harmony: Database Location page

D. Set the Database Location

This page is to specifiy on which local drive a new EMPTY Toon Boom Harmony database will be created.
The Toon Boom Harmony database directory usa_db is always created in the root of the specified disk. The
usa_db database directory is shared under the name usa_db.
1. Select the drive on which you want the database to be created.
Note: As a rule of thumb, select the drive on which you have a lot of space.
2. In the username, and password fields (What is the userName?, What is the User Password?), type in the
Administrator Username and Password that you use to log-in to your current machine.
Note: This is the Windows Administrator Username/Password. This will allow you as an administrator to
create the database and subsequently install the server as a service that will automatically start when you start
windows.
3. Click Next>
This will open the Toon Boom Harmony: Scene Data Location page.

E. Set the Scene Data Location

This page is to specifiy on which local drives the Toon Boom Harmony scene data directories will be located
and shared on the network. The user must specify at least one drive with a valid name. For each, the directory
and share will be created with the specified name.
1. In the highlighted filesystem section, you will see that FileSystem000 is already created for you. So you
need not do anything here. Leave it as is.
Note: if you want a number of filesystems, you can use the Add button to create more filesystems. But if you
do not know how to use these, I suggest you leave this setting as is.
2. The Share field allows you to define a folder that will be shared on the network. This is where every user
on the network who connects to the Harmony Databse will get its files fromand save its files into. You can
leave the share name as usadata000 if you wish.
3. In the Host Computer field, your computer name should already be populated. Ensure that it is correct.

you provided in the previous step

correct.
2. Click Finish.
This will bring up a message box mentioning that the database has been created Successfully. Now yo are
ready to run all the programs that would not run in standalone mode.
If you get a message that the database creation failed, that could mean
a. You do not have administrative rights on the system on which you are creating the database, or
b. You have provided incorrect username/password in the previous steps
Go back and try again and ensure that the above 2 points are taken care of.
