1 WHO ARE WE
The Emasa Engenharia LTDA is a consultancy company for the design of steel structures. We are highly
specialized in the assemblage, constructability analysis and riggings, acting on the creation of devices and
optimizations for the assembly and rigging of steel modules and industrial equipment.
Having begun our operations in January 2011, we have deep knowledge on the assembly and constructability
engineering, developing solutions that contemplate:
Analysis required for the pre-assembly of complex and large-scale steels structures.
Design and verification of rigging devices, such as lugs and trunnions, through the method of finite
element analysis.
Design and dimensioning of complex sling arrangements, such as with the use of several spreaderbeams, design of rigid lifting frame for the rigging of steel pre-assembled modules and single sling
arrangement without the use of spreader-beam.
Structural verification of steel pre-assembled modules and equipment, along with the design of
reinforcements where necessary.
The Emasa Engenharia LTDA is also capacitated for the verification and analysis for the design of land heavy
haul transportation by means of SPMT.
1.1 METHODOLODY
The analysis conducted by Emasa Engenharia LTDA are always supported by international standards and good
practices, such as:
Standards:
Internal Odebrecht standards for the rigging and movement of heavy load (P-MC-I-003 e PMC-P-002)
Noble Denton 0027 Guidelines for Marine Lifting Operations
ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code for the equipment verification.
AISC: ASD e LRFD
Eurocode 3
Techniques:
Finite element analysis of rigging devices, connections, etc.
3D modeling of objects and simulation.
Geometric definition of sling arrangement through the use of computational methods yielding
high accuracy.
Automated calculation for the control of delicate and complex operations.
