Abstracto. Las exitosas demostraciones realizadas en plantas piloto en los aos 2003 y 2004 han
comprobado la confiabilidad en la operacin con HPGRs en aplicaciones de minerales duros. Como
resultado de estos logros, 6 HPGRs sern puestos en marcha en dos plantas concentradoras de
cobre en el 2006.

Sin embargo, la finura obtenida con la misma
fuerza de molienda en diferentes minerales
vara significativamente. Las propiedades
especficas de un mineral tienen un mayor
impacto en la cantidad de finos producida que
la fuerza de molienda que se le aplica.
