James OConnor was born April 1st, 1844 in Wexford, Ireland, the fourth son of James and Deborah (Hughes) OConnor. His
mother died when he was an infant and his father died when he was five years old. James came to this country with his three older
brothers when he was a young boy. They settled in Canada:

Patrick (OConnor), the oldest brother, bought a farm in Greenock Township (Ontario, Canada now Brockton), married
and had a family of seven children.
Michael (OConnor), the second oldest, bought a home in the village of Walkerton, married and had no children
Joseph (OConnor) and James (OConnor), when they were able to work, came to Port Huron and found work in the
Sanborn Lumber Co.
Uncle Joe (OConnor) married Margaret Clark. Most of their children were born in Port Huron. He bought a farm in Riley
Township. He had a family of 9: Eight girls and one boy.
James (OConnor), my father, married Ellen Cameron. (Their children) Mary, Deborah, James, William, and Joseph were
born in Port Huron. They moved to Emmett on a farm of 80 acres. Belle (Isabelle), Christena and Frank were born there.
Debbie OConnor and Charles Gilbrick were married November 5th, 1891 in the old church that was down at the cemetery.
Henry Breen and Isabelle OConnor were married the 31st of October, 1899. James OConnor and Kate (Catherine) Breen
were married the 30th of October, 1900.
Peter Cavanagh and Christena OConnor (me) were married the 20th of January 1904
Joseph OConnor and Mary Woods were married June 6th, 1917
Frank OConnor and Kathleen Conroy were married in Detroit, June 1931. Frank died July 22, 1931 in Detroit

(My) Father James OConnor died May 22, 1909 was born April 1, 1844, Wexford, Ireland. (My) Mother Ellen (Cameron) OConnor
died in Detroit on September 8, 1921. Mother was born in London, Canada. Her mothers name was Mary McCormick.

William OConnor died May 21, 1929 lived on skid row in Detroit
Joseph P. OConnor died May 28, 1952
Belle (Isabelle OConnor) Breen died October 12, 1922
Frank A. OConnor born January 29, 1895; died July 22, 1931 in Detroit (a month after his marriage to Kathleen Conroy)
Mother Ellen (Cameron) OConnor came from a family of 14 children: 9 sisters and 5 brothers:
