University Summer Schools

Two of our Sixth Form have gained places at Sussex University
Summer School this August.
Megan McHugh will be attending Explore, History on 23rd - 27th
August and Abdeslam Cherkaoui will be attending Discover,
Biology on 16th - 20th August.
All of the Sixth Form students have been encouraged to take
part in academic experiences outside of school. During the last

day at Credit Suisse, residential at Oxford University, engineering
master classes and a visit to Diamond Light Source. Several Sixth

and we will publish these as they come in.

This flagship programme brings together 100 young people from

around the world to exchange ideas, consider different

leadership models and discuss how they can make a positive
impact on their local community. Lada will work with

experienced facilitators in a combination of workshops, activities

and excursions, and will hear from inspiring speakers from the UK

and beyond who will share their own experience of social

change.
We are delighted for Lada, and look forward to hearing about
the course next term.

Our Bible verse for the week:

TRUST in the LORD with all
your HEART and lean not
on your OWN
understanding
Proverbs 3:5

Today we pray for the healing of the nations. Where

there is violent conflict may we build peace. Where
there is disease may we bring healing. Where there is
deprivation may we be generous in our giving. Where
there is loneliness and despair may we reveal light
and hope. Into our own conflict, sickness, destitution
and aloneness may we allow others to bring peace,
restoration, generosity and renewed vision.
Amen
