North Country Family Health Center Adds Dental Services at


Lowville Office
North Country Family Health Center (NCFHC), a federally qualified health center
based in Watertown, announced today that Anthony Longo, DDS has joined the
NCFHC staff as a part-time dentist and will begin seeing patients at the agencys
Lowville office on June 5th.
Dr. Longo is an experienced general practice dentist with additional expertise in
surgical and non-surgical periodontal treatments, prosthetics, including surgical
placement of implant fixtures, and extractions. He is licensed by New York State
is a member of the American Dental Association.
Dr. Longo received a Bachelor of Science Degree from St. Johns University,
Queens, NY and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York
University College of Dentistry, New York, NY.
Dr. Longo has owned a large private dental practice in Sullivan County, New York
for more than 30 years. He has a strong affinity for the North Country,
purchased a dairy farm near Boonville 12 years ago and looks forward to
relocating permanently within the next several years.
The Lowville Family Health Center is located in the rear wing of Lewis County
General Hospital in offices co-located with its WIC Program. In addition to dental

care, the Family Health Center offers primary medical care to adults and
children.

NCFHC-Lowville is open Tuesday through Friday. Dental services are being offered
only on Fridays, with the expectation of expanding hours as the patient base
grows.
Services at NCFHC-Lowville include

General primary care

Preventative and restorative dental services

Screenings

Immunizations

Well exams

Basic GYN services

Referrals to diagnostic lab and x-ray services

Assistance with health insurance and eligibility assistance (DSS, SNAP,

etc.)

The Family Health Center accepts all patients regardless of their insurance status
and welcomes individuals covered by Medicaid and Medicaid Managed Care. An
income based sliding-fee scale for those without insurance is also offered to
ensure that health and dental care is available to anyone who needs it.

North Country Family Health Center has been a Federally Qualified Community
Health Center since 2012 and provides medical, behavioral health and dental
care to patients in community and school-based clinics in Jefferson County and
at Lowville Academy. Nutrition services, through the WIC Program, are provided

to more than 16,000 women and children in Jefferson, Lewis, Franklin,


and St Lawrence Counties.
