(2) 2" x 20" (5.08cm x 51cm) for straps
(2) yoke pieces
Stabilizer, cut:
(2) 5" x 13" (12.7cm x 33.02cm) for sides
(1) 5" x 12" (12.7cm x 30.48cm) for bottom
Sewing Instructions:
Note:
All seam allowances are 12" (1.27cm) unless otherwise
indicated.
Interior Pockets
1. Place the two inner pocket pieces right sides together. Sew 14" (.64cm) away from the top edge. Fold
right side out and press. Sew 38" (.95cm) away from
the folded edge to form a casing. Cut a 15" (38.1cm)
length from the braided elastic and insert a safety pin
into one end. Use the pin to guide the elastic through
the casing. When the tail end is even with the edge
of the pocket piece, secure the elastic with several
stitches approximately 14" (.64cm) away from the
edge. Continue pulling the elastic through the casing
and secure the other end in the same manner.
2. Following manufacturer's directions, fuse the 6" x
10" (15.24cm x 25.4cm) piece of interfacing onto
the wrong side of one 6" x 10" (15.24cm x 25.4cm)

Straps
9. Fuse a 2" x 20" (5.08cm x 50.8cm) interfacing piece
onto the wrong side of each of two 2" x 20" (5.08cm
x 50.8cm) Fabric B strap pieces. Cut the ends of the
strap pieces at a 45 angle. (Fig. 5) Sew the two strap
pieces right sides together along each long side. Turn
the strap right side out and press. Edge stitch along
both long sides. Repeat to make another strap.
15. With the bag still wrong side out, place the lining into
the bag with right sides together. Pin from one side
seam up and across the top to the other side seam,
leaving open where indicated. (Fig. 7) Repeat for the
other side of the bag. Sew the bag and lining together along the pinned edges, leaving the sides open
from seam to seam. Turn right side out.
16. Press the upper edge of the bag. Smooth the lining
bottom in place, and then iron to fuse the lining to
the stabilizer.
17. Slip a 5" x 13" (12.7cm x 33.02cm) stabilizer side
piece into the side of the bag between the lining and
the exterior so it fits snugly at the seams. If it does
not fit snugly, remove, trim, and replace. Fold the top
edge of the bag side over to cover the stabilizer. Fold
the seam allowance of the lining side under and pin
or clip to secure. Slipstitch the opening closed.
Bag Exterior
10. Following manufacturer's directions, fuse a fleece bag
body piece onto each Fabric A bag body piece and
an interfacing yoke piece to each Fabric B yoke piece.
11. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the bag exterior.
12. Pin each end of a strap to a yoke piece, matching the
strap angle to the edge of the yoke. Baste in place.
Repeat on the other side. (Fig. 6)
