------------------------------------------From what I remember...

Guitars
Gibson 335
Gibson Les Pauls
Martin acoustics (I think anway)
Pedals
Boss Turbo Overdrive
ProCo Turbo Rat (both used without turbo)
Boss Phaser
Amps
Vox AC30 x2 (for the first part of the tour, later swapped to 1 AC30 and another
combo which I can't remember, although a Fender Twin sounds familiar).
Both amps run simulanteously, the sounds come from the pedals.
He also had a Yamaha SPX 90 controlled by his tech offstage and a boss Line Sele
ctor to swap guitars.
So the chain was, Guitar, Pedals, Rack Unit, Amps (left and right). Power soaks
were also used on the amps. Live anyway..
I will try and dig out the article on his kit for that era, try and remember wha
t his other amp was...

------------------------------------------Remembered!! It was a Mesa Boogie Mk 3.
So AC30 and Mesa Boogie Mk3 were the amps as two AC30's got to muddy with the Bo
ss Turbo Overdrive and Turbo Rat on together (which is the saturated sound used
for leads and chorus').
Basic verse sound was the boss, nice and overdriven, the chorus and lead saturat
ed sounds was the boss and rat on together.
This guy is a really great player, check out the Love and Poison video, and the
first album for proof...

------------------------------------------OK, re-read the article I saw with his tech (they were discussing Richard Oake'
s gear when he first joined), basically the same as above but using a Mesa Boogi
e Mk1V and a Yamaha FX-900 rack unit for mainly phaser spread out to the two amp
s. And it was a Turbo Rat he used.

So, guitar to pedal board, pedal board to FX-900, FX-900 to amps.

few pics. Anyway - off the top of my head:
Dog Man Star tour:
Fender Twin
Vox AC30
Gibson ES-355 (63??)
Fender Strat (new)
Gibson Les Paul Artisan (70s 3 pickup model; actually belonged to one of the tec
hs)
Pedals
DOD switcher - can't remember the model but basically linked to the wah so that
it could be switched in at any point of it's travel.
Wah
Boss Turbo distortion
Turbo Rat
Boss BF2 flanger
Coming Up studio:
Everything recorded through a Marshall JMP-1 w/ an ADA ampulator and a Yamaha SP
X-90; Guitars as above plus '71 tele, reissue 60s Les Paul, '64 jag (the red one
)
Tour amps/pedals as above
Not sure of the gear after that until A New Morning era; by then he'd started us
ing a Marshall Bluesbreaker with the AC30 and the pedals had expanded a little.
But I have got pics of his and Alex Lee's boards from that period.
Cheers
