LEGAL CONSULTATION AND FEE AGREEMENT

This document sets out the terms under which the Law of Self Defense, in the person of Attorney Andrew F.
Branca, agree to provide legal consulting services to you and your firm on the subject of self-defense law in the
context of your client.
This consult will be in the form of initial verbal communications regarding legal analysis of a self-defense
justification for the use of force by your client, typically provided by telephone.
This legal consult is provided directly to you and your firm. We do not purport to be licensed to practice law
in the jurisdiction relevant to your clients case, and we are not providing legal advice for purposes of this
consult. Rather our role is as a subject matter expert in self-defense law providing legal consulting services to
you and your firm.
In the course of this consult we will communicate directly solely with you and your firm. We will not
communicate directly with your client. It is within your sole professional discretion, as legal counsel to
your client, whether and to what extent our analysis, work product, and communications are communicated to
your client as legal advice.
That said, all analysis, work product, and communications within the scope of this agreement are privileged work
product produced for the use of yourself and your firm. We will retain confidential internal records of all legal
services provided for a period of five (5) years, at which point they will be destroyed unless otherwise directed.
My fee for legal consult is $400 per hour. The first hour of service provided is billed as a complete hour, thus a
$400 minimum, after which services are billed in quarter-hour increments. (It is our policy to seek to provide you
with a full hour of useful service.) Should it appear that it would be useful to extend our legal
consultation substantively beyond this initial hour, a more detailed agreement will be agreed upon and executed,
specifying expected services, deliverables, and schedules.
Payment for this initial hour of services must be made prior to the provision of those services. This can be done

After your purchase of this initial hour of Legal Consultation a customized version of this document will be
prepared and sent to you for your records, along with an invoice indicating that payment has been made. In
addition, you will be contacted to schedule a specific date and time for the consult, generally within 72 hours of
your purchase (if time is of the essence indicate this in the notes section at checkout, and we will seek to expedite
scheduling).
