Action Research Project


-As part of the KU Professional Development Schools program, I developed and coordinated
an Action Research project with two of my KU PDS peers at Liberty Memorial Central Middle
School. For the project we targeted students who were considered "at risk" and had low
reading skills, but received no special education resources. We used the QAR strategy
interventions in small group sessions and recorded and analyzed data to see where they
improved (test scores, GPA, behavior, etc), and if this decreased risk factors for dropping
out. We found
