Saktong Buhay: Sa Dekalidad na Edukasyon Pinanday.
Good morning everyone. My respect to our Monitoring Supervisor EPS 1 in
Makabayan, Dr. Bebelyn C. Corvera, Maam. To our West Butuan District 1 supervisor, Sir. Romeo E. Estillore, Sir, to our principal Maam Marivic M. Pantonial, to our dynamic teaching force of La Trinidad Integrated School, Beloved and proud parents, dear friends and to the reason why we are all gathered here, THE GRADUATES OF 2015. A great morning to all of us and congratulations! Thank you for inviting me to be with you, to celebrate this extra ordinary day for these happy faces in front. Today marks the start of a new journey beyond the walls of this great institution. Id say great, Im a proud Alumna of this School. Fifteen years ago, it was called Mababang Paaralan ng La Trinidad. (good, very good) And every time we had a recitation in Mathematics, I would feel so scared because during that time, I cannot memorize the multiplication table. And that is the reason why I become an engineer. Now graduates, I want all of you to listen. Listen to your heart. What does it say? What do you want? Does it want to restore health and become a doctor? A businesswoman, you want to educate the children and become a teacher? Or be servant of the Almighty God and be a priest/nun? A computer technician or an entrepreneur? Do you want to play the guitar and be a musician or simply be an engineer? Be a mechanic or sail around the world and be a seaman? The bottom line is, we all wanted something. We all wanted to help our parents and have a better life of our own. Now graduates, what to you want? It is only when we dream and want it to happen that we become determined in pursuing that dream. For the incoming high school students, high school life is fun and exciting. Youve got to enjoy many things, like an increase in your baon, meet new friends, freedom to do things on your own, and many others. But please remember why you are in school. Remember what you wanted. To the future college students, congratulations on finishing high school! You are half way from becoming what you wanted. Continue reaching your dreams. Never stop learning, not yet. Quality education is one major key in building your future, the future of Filipino youth. Let no one stop you from realizing your dreams. She enrolled and became a student assistant for four years. Meaning, pinag aral po siya ang sarili niya. And now she graduated her bachelors degree and currently working as a project development officer of a Department of Science and Technology (DOST) funded project. She can now support her family financially. And the best part of the story is to know that this is not just a story but it is reality. Rachel is one of us. She used her skills to achieve her goals and finish her studies not only for herself but also for her family. Because she knew that in order to have a better life, she must struggle. She must work hard to finish her studies. So let me end this talk by saying: In your life, may you have people who will listen and spend time with you, encourage you and believe in you that you can do it. May you embrace growth and excellence, May you be thankful and prayerful. May the Lord God guide you as you continue to pursue your dreams and bless you to finish your educational journey. With these blessings, may you go forth and do wonderful things in life. Make your
Nanay, Tatay, or Mama, and Papa Proud of you! And always remember this day, always remember what you wanted. Congratulations! God bless us all.
