ThefollowingarticlewillinstructyouonhowtoinstallaDigiumTE133orTE134intoyour
AsteriskorSwitchvoxsystem.
HardwareInstallation:
Note:TheTE134cardisa32bit33MHzcardkeyedforuniversal3.3voltor5.0volt
operationandworksinanyPCI2.2(orgreater)compliantslot.TheTE133cardiskeyedfor
aPCIExpress1lane(x1)slotandwillworkinanyPCIerevision1.0compliantslot,
includinglanelengthsx4,x8,andx16.
1. Powerdownyourcomputerandunplugitfromitspowersource.
2. Attachastaticstraptoyourwristandopenthecase.
3. RemovethebracketplaceholderandinsertthecardintoaPCIorPCIExpressslot.
Makesurethecardissecurelyseatedintheslot.
4. Screwthecardbracketsecurelyintothecase.Ifavailable,usethescrewthatwas
previouslyholdingthebracketplaceholder(fromStep3).
5. Replacethecovertoyourcomputer.
6. PlugtheT1orE1equipmentcableintotheRJ45port.
T1/E1Selection:
TheTE130SeriescardscanbeconfiguredforeitherT1orE1mode.TheT1/E1modemay
bespecifiedinthedriversusingeitherthedefault_linemode=t1ordefault_linemode=e1
moduleparameterwhenthedriversareloaded.Thiswillsetthemodeforthespanonthe
card.

RedHat,andUbuntudistributionsofLinux.However,manyotherdistributionsare
supportedbyDigiumTechnicalSupport.

1. AfterthemachinehasbootedtoLinux,loginasrootandexecutethefollowing

ThePCIdeviceIDshowimmediatelyafter"d161:"willbepopulatedwithoneof

ADigiumTE130Series(TE133/TE134)cardidentifiershouldbelisted.Ifa
matchingcardidentifierisnotlisted,thenyourmachineisnotPCI2.2(orhigher)
orPCIExpresscompatible,andthecardwillnotworkwithyourmotherboard.
