CONTRACT
This is a contract for the sale of artwork at ArtAuction15, a benefit for the Coalition on Homelessness, SF, to be
held on Thursday, September 10 at SOMArts Cultural Center, 934 Brannan Street San Francisco, CA.
ArtAuction15 is a fundraising event. A committee of artists and Coalition members will make the final decisions
on artwork to be shown and auctioned, and placement in the show. Receipt of this document does not guarantee
placement in the show nor in the auction.

The submission deadline is Friday, August 14.


Drop-off days are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays at 468 Turk Street, between 10:00am and 4:00pm. Please
email cohartauction@gmail.com or call Arefa at 415-346-3740 x 303 to schedule a drop off not during the hours
listed above. In special circumstances, we are able to pick-up work from anywhere in the Bay Area. Keep in
mind, dropping off your art donation helps us immensely!

Framing:
The Coalition on Homelessness cannot assume responsibility for artwork received without protective covering.
All donations of art must be framed or ready to hang. Because of the added cost of framing, under special
circumstances the Coalition on Homelessness may be able to work with artists to find alternative ways to frame
and display artwork.
Notification of Sold Work:
Within a month of the auction, each artist will receive a receipt for artwork sold. A check will be mailed with the
agreed commission. All donations to the Coalition on Homelessness are tax-deductible as applicable by law. We
are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The Coalition can provide written acknowledgment of art donation for tax
deduction purposes, if requested.
Return of Unsold Work:
Artists will be notified by phone or e-mail if their work does not sell. Artists should pick up their work between
September 16th and September 30th from 468 Turk Street. To arrange a pick-up date and time, email
cohartauction@gmail.com or call Arefa at 415-346-3740 x 303. If the artist does not pick-up their piece or make
alternate arrangements for a pick-up, the artist acknowledges a complete donation. The piece will become
property of the Coalition on Homelessness. The Coalition on Homelessness can use the donation at its discretion
for further fundraising purposes.

Participating art donors will receive free admission to ArtAuction15, including drinks and food.
