R & D Strategies
The R&D strategies are derived from:
Research drivers, national programmes within IEA countries, and
the IEA Future Building Forum Think Tank Workshop,
March 2007
They represent a collective input to exploit technological
opportunities to save energy in the buildings sector, and to
remove technical obstacles to market penetration.
They apply to residential, commercial, office buildings and
community systems.

Objectives
To provide tools and guidelines to improve the working
environment of Government buildings through energy-efficient
retrofitting projects. Many results can be applied to similar
private sector buildings;

To support decision-makers in evaluating the efficiency and
acceptance of available concepts;
