DUAL DEGREE OPTION

The students from CPM Programme can opt for the Dual Degree Programme Option under which he/she will
be awarded M.Tech. (Construction & Project Management) Degree in addition to the MBA (Technology
Management) Degree on completion of six semesters (four semesters from M.Tech. (CPM) & two semesters
from MTM).
RECOGNITION
The full-time M.Tech. (Construction & Project Management) programme is approved by All India Council for
Technical Education (AICTE) on self-financing mode, which will award Masters Degree (M.Tech.) in
Construction & Project Management.
ACCREDITATION OF THE PROGRAMME
Inspection for Accreditation of the M.Tech (CPM) programme has been done by a Committee set up by
AICTE on 11th, 12th & 13th January 2008. The programme has been Accredited for 3 years w.e.f. July 19, 2008.
GATE SCHOLARSHIP
As per AICTE policy Candidates who have passed the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)
examination are eligible for GATE scholarship of Rs.8000/- per month.
The GATE Scholarship will be disbursed to candidates only if the earmarked funds are received from
AICTE. CEPT University does not have any obligation to make payments to GATE Scholars from its
own funds. Post Graduate Diploma students are not eligible for the Gate Scholarship.
GRADUATE PLACEMENT
Since the inception M.Tech. (Construction & Project Management) has an excellent (100%) record of
students placement. Students of Construction & Project Management Programme are recruited as
Management Trainees in Clients Organizations, Consultants Organizations, Contractors Organizations.
Few of the organization are like ECC L&T Ltd., Hindustan Construction Co. Ltd., Simplex Concrete Piles (I)
Ltd., JLL, E & Y, Cushman & Wakefield, JMC Projects (I) Ltd, DLF,GIDC, GSPCL, GUDC, KPMG, Gammon
India, etc. etc.
FACILITIES
Library : CEPT library houses has more than 40,000 books, technical videos, and teaching materials in the
subjects of Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Technology & Management, Urban & Regional
Planning, Housing, Environmental Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering,
Structural Design, Visual Art, Humanities etc. Additionally, the library has Inter Library Books Loan
Arrangement with reputed institution in the city, and is a member of INFLIBNET. The library subscribes to
about 110 periodicals (Indian/Foreign) journals. Library Operations are computerized to facilitate normal
maintenance functions as well as search and retrieval of Books. The library is open for fourteen hours a day.
Hostel Accommodation: Limited accommodation on first cum basis is available for full time male students
at the CEPT hostel and for the full-time female students in the Professors Quarters run by the Ahmedabad
Education Society. All the hostels are located at about 5-10 minutes walking distance from the CEPT
Campus.
Computer Laboratory : The Computer Laboratories are well equipped with a range of workstations,
software, printers, plotters and input device for Computer Aided Design studies and simulations. To give
more time to students, besides decentralizing computer facilities programme wise, separate facilities are
provided for PG/UG Programmes.

bricks/ aggregate etc. with Loading Frame to test structural elements and Universal Testing Machine.
Cyber Caf : CEPT Cyberspace with 12 terminals, 4 servers is available for nearly sixteen hours a day.
Almost 425 workstations (PCs) located all over the campus. Broadband for Internet use accessible from
anywhere amongst the campus buildings (6 MBPS). Cyber Space with 12 PCs. (Unrestricted usage to CEPT
students). E-mail facilities are provided to all students and faculty through intra-net and web-based mail. Wi
fi system has been activated through the entire campus.

ENTRANCE TEST & INTERVIEW

It is not compulsory to clear a GATE Qualified Exam for the admission in M.Tech. (Construction & Project
Management) Programme. The entrance test is compulsory for all the candidates. But if you had cleared a
GATE Qualified Examination the preference is given at the time of interview.

The Entrance Test will be conducted in the form of OMR Exam. Their will be a four Sections in the
Entrance Test viz. (i) Analytical Ability (ii) Mathematical Ability (iii) English Comprehension & (iv) Civil
Engineering Applications. The Admission written test & interviews will be conducted at selected centres on
the stipulated dates specified above.
FEES/DEPOSITS ETC.
The amount of fees will be announced later and it will be uploaded on the net also.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
After you have been offered admission, and you have paid the fees, you are required to do the following:(a)

You must register yourself at the Programme, on the Registration Date. Get yourself medically
examined by a qualified medical practitioner. The doctors report will have to be submitted in the
prescribed form within a week, which will be issued to you along with the registration form at the time
of registration.
Produce the fee receipt, admission letter & certificates, testimonials & other credentials in original at
the time of registration. The agreements signed by the student & parent/guardian, must be submitted
within the week after the Registration.

Candidates who have been offered the admission & have paid their fees, but do not register or attend
classes in the first week will be forfeited and their admission will be cancelled. Only deposit (s) will be
refunded to those leaving the programme.
