b) Laying cement concrete using broken

e) The whole terrace so finished shall be flooded


with water for a minimum period of two weeks for
cruing and for final test. All above operations to be
done in order and as directed and specified by the
engineer in charge. (specification obtain from
CPWD)

Providing waterproofing treatment


through
specialized agencies to the dado portion of the
R.C.C. side walls upto 2.1 m height from floor area
of water closets, bath-rooms, kitchens, washing
places, sanitary blocks etc by giving injection
treatment with waterproofing compound and cement
solution. The walls will then be plastered with
waterproof cement plaster in 1:4 c.s. 12 mm to 15
mm thk. Finally the walls shall be covered with

operated weigh batcher dial type or mechanical type
of minimum capacity 650 Kgs shall be used. Weigh
batcher shall be calibrated regularly
4) Concrete mix proportion will be based on 50 kg.
weight of cement bags delivered at the mixer.
5) The Contractor is entirely responsible for the
design of concrete mixes. The design is however,
to be approved by the Engineer.
6)During laying, compacting the concrete steel
reinforcement bar should not move from their
position and bars of laid portions should not be
disturbed.
7) The rate for RCC work shall be for complete
work excluding steel but including centering,
shuttering and all tools,and plants.
8) when concrete has begun to get harden,
(after,about 2 hoursof laying)it shall be kept wet by
covering wet gunny bags then cured by flooding
with water making by mortar watta, 75mm high for
15 days. Curing compound may be permitted only
for inaccessible locations.
9) Only River Sand should be used. However
washing of sand in rotary screw type washing
machines is a must, if silt content is more than
permissible limit.
