General Objectives: That after 10 days of Intensive Field Experience at Perpetual
Succour Hospital, I will be able to:
1. Orient and familiarize the mission, vision, policies/protocols as well as to the structural
organization of the institution.
2. Orient oneself with the physical set-up of the hospital especially the different
department and units assigned.
3. Know the hospital protocol in the Emergency Department, Hema-Onco Unit,
CVL/Cath Lab Unit.
4. Establish rapport and good working relationship to all members of the health care team
in the different departments we are assigned to in the institution.

GENERAL AND SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

Subject: N 212 Advanced Adult Health Nursing IV (Intensive Practicum)
At the end of 7 days of intensive practicum done at Perpetual Succour Hospital, I will be
able to:
1) Orient one self and familiarize with the hospitals vision, mission, and objectives
as well as the institutions protocols.
2) Initiate and strengthen positive interpersonal relationships with clients/families,
colleagues, superiors and others.
3) Implement knowledge, skills, and process and related processes in the care of
patients/families; manifest SKA in the use of the nursing process.
4) Provides sound decision-making in the care of individuals/families/groups
considering their beliefs and values.
5) Utilize concepts, principles and theories related to nursing care of
patients/families.
6) Update one self and utilize research findings to improve nursing care of patients
and their families.
7) Gathers relevant data using different methodologies.
8) Analyzes and interprets data gathered using appropriate statistical tool and based
on significant findings.
9) Integrate ones knowledge on nursing laws for the promotion of safe nursing
care.
10) Adheres to practices in accordance with the nursing law and other relevant
legislation including contracts, informed consent.
11) Demonstrate evidences of continuous personal and professional growth in
everyday living.
12) Recognize roles and functions based on job description and the standard of
nursing practice.

General Objectives: That after 7 days of practicum at Perpetual Succour Hospital, I will
be able to:
1. Orient to the hospital protocol in the Emergency Room, Medical Ward,
and Hema-Oncology Unit
2. Established rapport to the health team member at the ER, Medical
Ward, and Oncology department

3. Demonstrate and enhance appropriate knowledge, skills, and attitude

while taking care with clients as well as in interacting with the health
team member and in the performance of roles and responsibilities as a
graduate school student
4. Gather relevant data and information which will be useful in the
fulfillment of my requirements in Advance Adult Nursing Practicum (like
case study, survey, and disease related concepts including nursing
management)
5. Apply basic nursing concepts in assessing, diagnosing, planning,
implementation, and evaluating client(s) with specific nursing
problems.

1. Familiarize and keep in mind the mission, vision, policies and

procedures as well as to the structural organization of the institution.
2. Acquaint myself with the hospital protocol in the Medical Surgical Unit,
Hema-Onco Unit and Emergency Department of Perpetual Succour
Hospital.
3. Demonstrate and augment the appropriate knowledge, enhance skills
and manifest desirableattitude in the delivery of care to our clients and
in working together with the health team members in implementing
the duties and responsibilities as a graduate school student.
4. Utilize and relate the nursing theories applicable in the care of our
clients and their health conditions.
5. Appreciate the importance of giving quality holistic care for the clients
in applying and integrating basic nursing concepts during the
assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
6. Render safe and effective nursing care to the best of my ability.
7. Treat every patient with respect and give utmost confidentiality of
acquired cases and pertinent files.
8. Obtain important and relevant data that are useful in the fulfillment of
my requirements in Advance Adult Nursing such as case study, survey,
disease-related concepts and nursing management.
9. Summarize and evaluate the learning gained from the clinical
experience.
