The!Appointment!
The!Happy!Days:!Enniskillen!International!Beckett!Festival!(HD!EIBF)!is!recruiting!a!dynamic,!
meticulous!and!resourceful!General!Manager!with!excellent!interpersonal,!financial,!organisational!

The!successful!applicant!will!play!a!key!role!in!the!delivery!of!HD!EIBF!and!its!new!sister!festivals,!A"
Wilde"Weekend"and!the!Lughnasa"International"Friel"Festival.!Working!with!a!small!team!yearCround,!
the!role!requires!an!individual!who!has!the!capacity!to!inspire!and!work!within!large!and!small!teams!
and!has!a!passion!for!delivering!arts!events!of!the!highest!calibre.!
Flexibility!is!essential!as!the!successful!applicant!will!be!required!to!work!evenings!and!weekends!
particularly!around!festival!times!typically!in!May!and!August.!Time!in!lieu!will!be!given!for!additional!
hours!worked,!subject!to!agreement!with!the!Founding!&!Artistic!Director.!

HD!EIBF!manages!three!festivals,!each!of!which!probe!and!celebrate!the!life!and!works!of!three!
artists!Samuel!Beckett,!Oscar!Wilde!and!Brian!Friel.!Working!within!a!biofestival!model,!conceived!
and!directed!by!Founding!Director,!Sean!Doran,!the!festivals!explore!each!artists!works,!aesthetic,!
social!and!civic!influences!through!a!multiCartform!platform!that!celebrates!the!biography!of!the!
artist!with!many!events!sited!in!unusual!venues.!
HD!EIBF!is!a!not!for!profit!organisation!and!a!registered!charity.!HD!EIBF!is!funded!by!the!Arts!Council!
of!Northern!Ireland,!the!Fermanagh!&!Omagh!District!Council,!Tourism!Northern!Ireland!and!the!T.S.!
Eliot!Estate!with!strong!support!from!teams!of!local!volunteers!in!Enniskillen.!

Main!Duties!
Operations!Management!

Responsible!for!the!day!to!day!management!of!the!HD!EIBF!offices!and!its!administrative,!
database!and!record!keeping!systems!
Manage!all!contractual!agreements!with!festival!artists!including!ensuring!monitoring!and!
compliance!with!contracts!
Oversee!all!operational!requirements!of!each!of!the!festivals!including!early!liaison!with!
festival!artists,!agents!and!production!staff!to!manage!initial!technical!and!logistical!
requirements!
Develop!in!house!policies!to!ensure!the!workplace!complies!with!best!practice!&!Charity!
Commission!guidelines!including!Health!and!Safety!&!Equal!Opportunity!policies!
Responsible!for!the!liaison!with!festival!venues!
Responsible!for!the!overall!logistical!operations!of!all!festival!events!!

Responsible!for!the!HR!function!including!development,!communication,!implementation!

bookkeeping,!managing!creditors!and!debtors!and!payroll!and!VAT!in!close!consultation!with!
the!EIBF!accountants!
