2015 Call for Entries

St. Lukes Quakertown Hospital Exhibit


Location: 1021 Park Avenue, Quakertown PA 18951
Exhibit Dates: August 1st- November 30th
ELIGIBLITY RULES:
Entries are open to all artists working on canvas or photography.
All entries must be acceptable to St. Lukes, in its sole discretion.
All artwork must be two-dimensional -No installation/ statues/ free
standing work/ or 3 dimensional pieces accepted.
No artwork displaying Nudity or other inappropriate or offensive subject
matter will be accepted.
Prints must be roughly 20x30 in size, slightly larger or smaller pieces will
be considered.
Work must be wired and ready for wall-mounting.
All work must be completed and ready for display. No wet or fragile pieces
will be accepted.
Wrapped canvases will be accepted as long the edges are painted &
finished professionally.
Artwork must be PRE APPROVED by digital submission with Stephanie
Lesavoy of St. Lukes Quakertown Hospital. To make an appointment
please contact Stephanie Lesavoy Director of Community Outreach
215.538.4505 Stephanie.lesavoy@sluhn.org. Upon approval, artwork
must be hand delivered to St. Lukes Quakertown Hospital to Stephanie
Lesavoy no later than July 20th 2015 and picked up no later than
December 14th 2015. An appointments will be necessary for drop off.
GENERAL RULES:
All artwork will be hung by St. Lukes maintenance department.
St. Lukes reserves the right to reject any pieces deemed too heavy or not
able to be hung safely.
All work must remain on display for the duration of the Exhibit Dates
provided above and may not be removed early unless sold.
If artwork is sold during the Exhibit Dates it will be the sole responsibility of
the Artist to replace the work within 5 business days from the time notified
of sale by St. Lukes.
At the conclusion of the Exhibit, the Artist will be required to pick up all
entries not sold, under the supervision of St. Lukes maintenance
department by appointment only.
All accepted work must match the digital entries submitted. No
substitutions can be made after July 20th.
The attached Agreement to Exhibit must be signed by the Artist and St.
Lukes prior to the Exhibit or entries will not be accepted.

AGREEMENT TO EXHIBIT
This Agreement to Exhibit between St. Lukes Quakertown Hospital (Hospital)
and the artist named below (the Artist), sets forth the terms under which Artist
will exhibit certain of Artists work at the Hospital. The parties agree to the
following:
A. WORK. The Artist promises that the work submitted to the Hospital (the
Works) for display at the Hospital from August 1, 2015 through November 30,
2015 (the Exhibition) are original works of the Artist and do not infringe the
intellectual property rights of any person or entity. The Artist understands and
agrees that during the Exhibition, the Hospital reserves the right to reject or
remove any Works at any time for any reason. Any Works delivered to the
Hospital for the Exhibition may be deemed by the Hospital, in its sole discretion,
to be unsuitable or unsafe for display and such Works shall be picked up promptly
by the Artist. The Artist understands and agrees to the Eligibility Rules and the
General Rules stated in the 2015 Call for Entries for the Exhibition.
B. INSURANCE AND LIABILITY: Reasonable care will be taken by the Hospital
to protect the Works, however, the Artist agrees that he/she maintains adequate
and appropriate property/fine arts insurance protecting the Work for its full value,
which shall remain in effect during the Exhibition. Neither the Hospital nor the
Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County will be held liable for any damage, theft
or accidental destruction of any Works submitted or displayed. Neither the
Hospital nor Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County will be responsible for any
Work remaining at the Hospital after Artists specified pick-up date.
C. SALES: All Works must be for sale, with a reasonable price stated on each
Works. Sales tax will be due and collected on all sales and any other proceeds
from Work sold during the Exhibition will be collected by the Hospital and paid
directly to the Artist by the Hospital, less the following: (a) donation by the Artist
of ten percent (10%) of the proceeds as a charitable contribution to the Hospital
to be used for any purpose deemed appropriate by the Hospital; and (b)
commission payable by the Artist of ten percent (10%) of the proceeds to the Arts
& Cultural Council of Bucks County. The remaining proceeds will be forwarded to
the Artist by the Hospital within thirty (30) days of collection by the Hospital.
D. INDEMNIFICATION. The Artists agrees to indemnify and hold the Hospital
and its employees harmless from and against all claims, actions, losses, damages
or liabilities (collectively Liability) arising from the Artists submission and
display of Works, or failure of the Artist to comply with any of the Artists
obligations under this Agreement, unless the Liability arises solely and directly
from the negligence or misconduct of the Hospital or its employees.
