Distributed Rendering is the capability to render a single image across multiple computers. This has the possibility of utilizing
multiple computers which can greatly increase rendering speed. VRay can use up to ten computers with just one license.

Firs of all, you have to connect yours PCs in a LAN (Local Area Network) and know each IP address. By default, Windows OS
come with DHCP activated, which is the hub that assigns the IP addresses of each pc.
In my case, for practical reason I made my LAN with static IPs. The default IP address is 192.168.xx.xx. I use another because I

Ok, going back to IPs issue, to know what is the IP address of each PC, in the windows star menu, choose run and then CMD. A
window like this should appear.

In my case, my IP address is 172.16.25.7 this can be done in each PC that you want to connect whit DR Spawner.
Second an important thing to know, probably you have installed V-ray without Distributed Rendering Spawner, again run the
installer an choose only the DR Spawner option.

Hi, Ive been using DRS for some time now. I have always followed the same steps you describe, but for some reason the
spawner seems to be unable to use the texture imges applied to different materials even though I have shared the folder in
the workgroup and have specified the net route for each one of them in the browsers. Do you have any sugestions? Thank
you.

Hi again, Ive been researching a bit, probably should have done it before posting last coment, Im sorry. The solution is,
as you sure know, to have the same folder containing all the bitmap texture images located on the same route in every
slave machine, if you dont have a server from which they can all read them. Im posting this just in case somebody else
had the same issue.

Hi,
I've been trying to use DR for sketchup vray and I've been having some problems.
When I try to render only one computer renders. I don't know why this happens, but when my dr spawner is open it
appears something like this
" successfully initializes spawner. Waiting for jobs..." It stays like this forever.
In my working area I use a server to share the files/ materials and skp files. I installed drspawner in both computers, add
the servers and still it doesn't work.

You may have figured this out already, but this is for future users. Go to Control Panel\Network and Sharing
Center\Advanced sharing settings and change the sharing restrictions in "Home or Work"

hi, when spawner is running, Microsoft excel documents are taking time to load even on local PC, currently using HP WS
z820 with 128gb ram, any workaround?
