The Six-Pointed Star The origin, and history of the six-pointed star (hexagram)

by O. J. Graham (Author) and its mysterious link with mankind from the days of E
gypt are intriguing. The sixpointed star has long been used in magic, occultism,
witchcraft, and astrology, and has been found at the scene of so many occult cr
imes that the police in California issued a directive to all schools warning chi
ldren to be cautious of this symbol. Click here to order a copy. Some years ago,
it was reported in the Toronto Sun, that a church, and grave yard had been vand
alized and "stars" were painted all over. The newspaper had decided not to say w
hat kind of stars as they did not wish to have people think Jews had been respon
sible. Firstly, and emphatically, Jews were not responsible for the vandalizing.
But as usual, they could have been blamed. Why? Because unfortunately, Jews hav
e often used items and delved in practices that are contrary to Scriptures and t
he Bible records many such instances. Why do most Jews use the six-pointed star,
which they call the Star of David, the Shield of David, or the Magen David? Wel
l, here is where it gets intriguing: M. Hirsch Goldberg in his book The Jewish C
onnection states: " The Star of David is not of Jewish origin - and the ancient
Israelites never used it as their religious symbol" (they used the Menorah or Se
ven Candlestick). So, why did the six-pointed star become known as the Jewish st
ar? This symbol was widely adopted, not because the Jewish people chose it, but
ironically because Adolph Hitler forced all Jews to wear a yellow six-pointed st
ar during the holocaust. The word holocaust means burnt offering, and the six-po
inted star was used in the past when burnt human sacrifices were offered to Molo
ch and Ashtoreth in Baal worship. The few Jews who had anything to do with the S
ix-Pointed star (hexagram) were those who were involved in occult practices. Bac
k to Hitler, would he put anything good on a Jew? Hitler meant to insult and des
troy the Jews, and being wrapped up in the occult (read the book, The Nazis and
the Occult ), he may have meant the Jews to be his burnt offering for power. Tod
ay, most Jews wear this star by choice, and without thinking or checking out its
origin and usage through time. Wearing the six-pointed star became a fashion.

The first mention of the six-pointed star in Israelite literature was in Amos 5:
26, when YAWEH angrily tells His people that " I hate and despise your feast day
sâ ¦. You shall take up Siccuth, your king and Chiun your images, the star of your
Godâ ¦." Siccuth (Sakkuth) and Chiun (Kaiwan) means "star" and refers to Saturn a
s a star, and was objects of idolatrous worship, as they were considered to be A
ssyrian gods. The mixed multitude that went out of Egypt with the children of Is
rael took the star with them. Like the obelisk, the six-pointed star was an Egyp
tian idol used in idolatrous worship. In 922 B.C. when Solomon married the daugh
ter of Pharoah, he became involved in Egyptian idol worship and went into magic,
and witchcraft. Solomon built an altar to Ashtoreth and Moloch, and the six-poi
nted star, the chief symbol of human sacrifices in magic and witchcraft circles,
came to be called the Seal of Solomon. Solomon did not heed the subsequent warn
ings from God to cease from these abominable practices, even after God threatene
d to rend the Kingdom of Israel from his son's hand. And indeed, the split occur
red after Solomon's death. Solomon's idolatry caused the Kingdom of Israel to be
split in two. The practices he introduced to the children of Israel eventually
caused the House of Israel to go into exile into the Caucasus, and the House of
Judah to go into captivity. It was Josiah who later destroyed this forbidden alt
ar. Did you know that the number 666 was connected to Solomon? (1 Kings 10:14) Y
es, 666 talents of gold was sent to Solomon each month by none other than the Ki
ng of Tyrus. After you have read this account in the book of 1 Kings, turn to Ez
ekiel Chapter 28. Oh, what a tangled web was weaved, when Solomon practised to d
eceive. King Solomon left many articles which proved his blatant idolatry, such
as King Solomon's Mirror, King Solomon's Comb, and the sixpointed star, which be
came known as the Seal of Solomon in the witchcraft and occult world. Solomon al
so laid down the foundations of the Craft (Daniel 8:25) which later became known
as Freemasonry., and the six-pointed star features prominently in Masonic ritua
ls. King David was Solomon's father, but he was never an idolater. He made it ab
solutely clear that God Himself was his shield, not only in Psalm 3:3 but in Psa
lm 28:7, Psalm 119:114, and Psalm 144:2. The book, The Six-Pointed Star, is the
first and only academic work which documents the origin and historical usage of
this symbol. From Egypt to Solomon, to Arab magic, and witchcraft, to Druid uses
, to freemasonry, to Mayer Amschel Bauer, who in the 17th century changes his na
me to depict the red six-pointed star which hung on his door in Germany, and thu
s began the family of "Rothschild" (meaning red shield). The Rothschild family i
ncorporated this symbol in their Court of Arms. The research traced the six-poin
ted star through the Cabala, to astrology, to Hitler and his putting a yellow si
x-pointed star on Jews during the holocaust, to the Zionist symbol, and finally
to the flag of the State of Israel and beyond. The Star of David Another theory
about the origin of the shape is that it is simply 2 of the 3 letters in the nam
e David: in its Hebrew spelling, David is transliterated as 'D-W-D'. In Biblical
Hebrew, the letter 'D' (Dalet) was written in a form much like a triangle, simi
lar to the Greek letter "Delta" ( ). The symbol may have been a simple family cr
est formed by flipping and juxtaposing the two most prominent letters in the nam
e. The letter "W" in this case could reference the compositing operation of the
two Deltas.

The Hexagram The hexagram, like the pentagram, was and is used in practices of t
he occult and is attributed to the 7 'old' planets outlined in astrology. The si
x-pointed star is commonly used both as a talisman and for conjuring spirits in
the practice of witchcraft. In the Book The History and Practice of Magic, Vol.
2, the six-pointed star is called the talisman of Saturn and it is also referred
to as the Seal of Solomon. Details are given in this book on how to make these
symbols and the materials to use. Dr. John Dee, the court astrologist of Queen E
lizabeth I, in his book Hieroglyphic Monad, includes the following quote: "'Maha
tma Letters,' page 345: 'The double triangle viewed by the Jewish Kabbalists as
Solomon's Seal is...the Sri--Antana of the Archaic Aryan Temple, the Mystery of
Mysteries, a geometrical synthesis of the whole occult doctrine. The two interla
ced triangles are the Buddham-Gums of Creation. They contain the 'squaring of th
e Circle,' the 'Philosophers' Stone,' the great problems of Life and Death--the
mystery of Evil. The Chela who can explain this sign from every one of its aspec
ts is virtually an Adept.'" (John Dee, Hieroglyphic Monad, Dr John Dee, WEISER B
OOKS, Boston MA/York Beach, ME, page 76) In the Encyclopedia of Freemasonry, we
read: "The interlacing triangles or deltas symbolize the union of the two princi
ples or forces, the active and passive, male and female, pervading the universe.
.. The two triangles, one white and the other black, interlacing, typify the min
gling of apparent opposites in nature, darkness and light, error and truth, igno
rance and wisdom, evil and good, throughout human life." (Encyclopedia of Freema
sonry, Albert G. Mackey, 33rd Degree Freemason, and Charles T. McClenachan, 33rd
Degree Freemason, p. 801, as quoted from secondary Source Codex Magica by Texe
Marrs.) Bradley, author of Secrets of the Freemasons, claims: "the hexagram is w
idely associated with the occult, and is considered the most powerful of Satan's
symbols, containing '666.' Occultists also call it the 'trud' and us it in necr
omantic ceremonies to summon evil spirits." (Bradley, Secrets of the Freemasons,
page 45.)
