Introduction

Backspace Consulting LLP is a communication consulting corporation with a simple mission:

to help clients communicate eectively and creatively. The three-dimensional focus on
Communication, Creativity, and Consulting aims at meaningful improvement of our clients
performance in business as well as personal spaces.

The Competition
If words are your natural ally, and you have command enough to tame them to narrate your
stories, we would like to challenge you to write a story based on the theme thoughts to
words.

Step 2: E-mail us your entry at buzz@backspace.net.in by 11:59:59 PM, July 15 2015.
We shall publish the shortlisted entries in the Blog section of our website and upload the
links to those entries on our Facebook and LinkedIn pages on July 18 2015. As part of the
evaluation process, the authors of the top 10 entries shall be interviewed between July 19
2015 and July 24 2015. We shall declare the winners on our Facebook page on July 25 2015 at
7:00 PM.
Parameters of Evaluation:
I. Social Media Engagement (Weightage: 40%): 1*Number of Likes + 2*Number of Shares
II. Content (Weightage: 40%)
III. Performance in Skype/FaceTime Interview (Weightage: 20%)
Prizes:
1st prize: INR 10000 + Certicate
2nd prize: INR 5000 + Certicate
The other top three entries shall be awarded Certicate of Excellence.

- Window for the submission of entries: July 1 2015 to July 15 2015
- Uploading of the top 10 entries on our website, Facebook and LinkedIn pages: July 18 2015
- Start of window for likes and shares on Facebook and LinkedIn pages: 7:00 PM, July 18 2015
- End of window for likes and shares on Facebook and LinkedIn pages: 7:00 PM, July 24 2015
- Announcement of nal results: 7:00 PM, July 25 2015

Submission Guidelines
1. The story should be written in the English language in 1200 to 1800 words.
2. The competition is open to all graduate and post-graduate students.
3. Each team should consist of a maximum two members.
4. A two-member team should have both the members from the same institute.
5. Entries should be sent in PDF to buzz@backspace.net.in with the Subject as
<TeamName>_<InstituteName>_Backspace. The le name should be in the
format: <TeamName>_<InstituteName>_Backspace.
6. An entry must be accompanied by a cover page/image in line with the story.
7. The cover page/image should include the name(s), name of the institute, details of the
course(s) pursuing, and contact information of the participant(s).
8. Any sort of plagiarism shall lead to immediate disqualication.
9. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Backspace team shall be nal and binding.
10. Any past/present Backspacian is not allowed to participate in the competition.
