At the end of the course, the students should be able:1.

Describe advertising understanding in terms of graphic design and apply technical terms in industry.

Describe the advertising and graphic design work using critical thinking.

Explore and develop skills to meet career requirement in advertising design industry.

Manage advertising process and demonstrate preparation of advertising material to meet customer needs and expectation.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Advertising design combines words and pictures in a highly organized and persuasive way to sell products and ideas. Graphic design is the
manipulation of graphic elements to communicate ideas, emotions and other abstract concepts visually. In this major students can study
creative advertising design, graphic design, or both in print media.

In creative advertising design students will be prepared for professional placement in the creative advertising industry. Student will focus on
professional practice, media production processes, professional industry processes. Students will learn to communicate through a variety of
mediums, television, point of sale, radio, direct mail, web and outdoor advertising but majoring on print media advertising..
