L&T FOUNDATION FORMWORK

(For heights above 1.5m)
SYSTEM DESCRIPTION:

When foundations are huge say mass raft foundations and of heights
greater
than 1.5m, then they are executed using L&T Wall Formwork System.
L&T Wall Formwork is a complete Formwork system, which mainly
consists of plywood sheathing backed by timber H-Beams and Steel
walers (ISMC 100 B/B channels). The support is given by double nut
alignment props which can be used to align the shutters to the required
angle. These shutters can be erected manually & also can be handled
by crane.
Besides giving smooth concrete finish this system comes with inbuilt
safety and working accessories.

HY-RIB Stoppers for as construction joints:

Whatever be the type of shutters being used on the external side say L&T Foundation or
Wall Formwork, to ease the construction of mass raft foundations where the rebars
projecting out are the biggest hindrance, Hy-rib stoppers are generally being used to stop
the concrete.

Hy-rib permanent formwork comprises of Zinc-coated steel which are

formed into a ribbed expanded mesh.

It is for use as permanent formwork for concrete to form construction joints,

stop-ends for retaining walls, columns & beams. It can also be used to
support horizontal slab flooring.

It will produce a surface which will bond directly with the next pour or, in case
of retaining walls and columns, be suitable for rendering or tiling.

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION:

The lift shaft platform system is suitable for lift core / RC-walls close to each
other.

The Lift Shaft Formwork System comprises of shaft main beam resting in pockets
provided in the already cast RC-Wall. The cross beams are provided over this.

Wooden planks over the cross beams form the lift shaft platform. Leveling of the
platform is possible by operation of spindle within the gravity pawls.
The main beam has gravity pawls which unlocks itself from the pockets when lifted
upwards by tower crane and locks itself at the next pocket location. The gravity
pawls are hinged and have one way movement only, the platform thus has high
levels of safety.
The platforms as a whole along with the main beam, gravity pawls, cross beams

THE L&T AUTOMATIC CLIMBER SKE

(FOR STOREY-HIGH CLIMBER)
The L&T Automatic Climber SKE lifts the large area
formwork element together with the climbing scaffold and all
working platforms in one step by a whole concrete lift - without
a crane. There are two Automatic Climbers SKE in a climbing
element, arranged optimally each with one climbing bracket.
The outstanding advantages of the L&T Automatic Climber
SKE for use on high buildings are:
Optimum adaptability to every The L&T Automatic Climber SKE
is a
Plan shape single lifting device and can therefore be arranged
independently of the plan shape.
The width of the elements can thus always be arranged
favorably. This means that the most economical solution for all
plan shapes of buildings, piers or shafts is achieved.
Storey - high climbing in one step
The L&T Automatic Climber SKE climbs storey by storey, even
concrete lifts of up to 3.5 m in height need no intermediate
steps or intermediate anchoring. This provides enormous
savings in anchoring, working time and thus money.
High bearing capacity
Because of its robust and strong construction the L&T
Automatic Climber SKE offers the possibility of climbing large
area formwork elements of up to 24 m2 in one lift.
Automatic hydraulic drive
The L&T Automatic Climber SKE is driven by light hydraulic
cylinders which are moved extremely easily and quickly from
element to element. The hydraulic devices are fitted with all

necessary control equipments for the simultaneous running

operation of two or more lifting cylinders. A suitable remotecontrolled electric system provides easy climbing.

Safety
A high degree of safety is based in the L&T Automatic
Climber SKE and its hydraulic drive. The lifting mechanism is
always coupled with the climbing section and therefore safe.
The hydraulic cylinders for the drive of the L&T Automatic
Climber SKE are equipped with a pipe breakage safety device.
Economy with system
The standard parts of the proven L&T climbing formwork
provide, together with the Automatic Climber SKE, a simply
operated and therefore extremely economical self-climbing

Formwork for Slab

Flex System:
The forms shall be made with plywood backed by timber beams &
supported using props. The props are the members which take the load and shall be
erected in position using tripods for stability. The spacing between the timber beams
shall be in accordance with design criteria & should be properly nailed to the
plywood and properly placed over the props to avoid toppling.
The props are designed to take care of the vertical loads which are tested under
max. loading conditions. The spacing will be decided based on the thickness of the
slab i.e. load coming from the slab & the prop height required. The more the height,
the lesser the capacity so it should be ensured that usage of props in the fully
extended conditions are avoided.
Heavy Duty Tower System (HDT):
The forms shall be made with plywood backed by timber beams &
steel elements. These elements are supported on HDT which are designed to take
care of the vertical loads. Each tower leg has a load carrying capacity of 62.5 KN
and shall be designed for the same based on the slab/beam depths.
Proper application of shuttering oil/grease should be ensured for easy de-shuttering.
