PREFACE
The development of skills to perform well in professional life has become a dire need of
every Business Graduate. The great English Premier Sir Winston Churchill once said,
Knowledge is a pretty thin stuff unless mixed with Experience.

The report on the National Bank of Pakistan is written in partial fulfillment of the
requirement for the degree of BBA (Hons). I am extremely grateful to Allah for his
guidance in the completion of this report.

The basic purpose of the internship is to fulfill the requirement of the university.
Internship is the scheme of arrangements, requiring students to work in an organization
for a specific period of time after completion most his course work. Internship has certain
specific objectives such as: to work in the real life situations, apply management
knowledge to practice and improve personal skill_ human relations, working with people,
and the art of interviewing people. It also is a tool to develop analytical skills i.e.
organizational analysis, financial analysis, marketing analysis etc and to improve report
writing skills and finally help to develop concrete plans, including long and short-term
action plans, along with financial details.
Report writing was a very challenging and invigorative, it was the decisive moment
which revealed how much one has accomplished throughout the academic career, putting
the writing and analytical skills to work and coming up with pragmatic and realistic
recommendations that can be actually implemented for the benefit of the organization
This report includes the introduction to report on NBP and a brief review of the history of
NBP, its objectives, policies, functions and operations of NBP.

I pay my thanks to the staff of NBP who helped me in providing information about the
bank operations. I am grateful to benevolent lecturers, supervisor and my dear friends for
support in the completion of report. Finally, I wish to express my heartfelt appreciation to
my Supervisor Mr. Muhammad Zulqurnain Safdar for his assistance in the preparation

Some practical experience is necessary to enter the field because only education given in

enter after completing education.
