RESOLUTION NO. 46 - 2015

A RESOLUTION HIGHLY COMMENDING JIE ANN CALIS FOR HER RECORD BREAKING
PERFORMANCES DURING THE 58TH PALARONG PAMBANSA OF THE DEPARTMENT OF
EDUCATION HELD AT THE DAVAO DEL NORTE SPORTS AND TOURISM COMPLEX IN
TAGUM CITY AND AWARDING HER A CASH FROM THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT OF
PLARIDEL IN THE AMOUNT OF TEN THOUSAND PESOS (P10, 000.00) IN RECOGNITION
OF HER GREAT SUCCESS
WHEREAS, Jie Ann Calis, a student-athlete of Looc National High School, born and
raised in Plaridel, garnered three (3) gold medals, breaking three track records in centerpiece
athletics of the 58th Palarong Pambansa of the Department of Education at the Davao Del Norte
Sports and Tourism Complex in Tagum City. Jie Ann blew away the field in the 3000 meters,
1500 meters and 800 meters one after the other and record-breaking fashion to emerge as the
worthiest performer on the track;
WHEREAS, the Local Government Unit of Plaridel takes pride and honor for the
overwhelming success of the young athlete for having made famous her hometown in the
Palarong Pambansa and for being an inspiration to many people especially to the younger
generation;
WHEREAS, in recognition of her hard work, strong determination and success, it is
indeed appropriate that Jie Ann Calis be granted high commendation and be awarded a cash
from the Local Government Unit of Plaridel in the amount of ten thousand pesos (P10,000.00);
WHEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing, on motion of SB Member Marilou V.
Yap, seconded by SB Member Henry M. Bulawin, the Sangguniang Bayan Members present
RESOLVED to HIGHLY COMMEND as it hereby COMMENDS JIE ANN CALIS FOR
HER RECORD BREAKING PERFORMANCES DURING THE 58TH PALARONG PAMBANSA
OF THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION HELD AT THE DAVAO DEL NORTE SPORTS AND
TOURISM COMPLEX IN TAGUM CITY AND AWARDING HER A CASH FROM THE LOCAL
