Alignment: Lawful.

Edicts: The cavalier must protect the lands of the Great Kingdom at all costs. He must
obey the commands of the overking and his superiors without question. He must strive to
expand the power and prestige of the Great Kingdom.
Challenge: Whenever a Knight Protector of the Great Kingdom cavalier issues a
challenge, he receives a +1 morale bonus on all melee attack rolls against the target of his
challenge if the target has made or makes an attack against a target weaker than the knight
protector (fewer HD or total levels) or who is helpless. This bonus increases by +1 for every
four levels the cavalier possesses.
Skills: A Knight Protector of the Great Kingdom cavalier adds Knowledge (nobility)
(Int) and Perception (Wis) to his list of class skills. In addition, the daunting nature of the knight
protectors goals often requires focus and the best of his efforts, thus he gains a +1 bonus on any
one skill check he makes, once per day. This bonus and number of uses increase by 1 for every
five levels he possesses. The knight protector must declare he is using this ability before he
makes the skill check.
Order Abilities: A Knight Protector of the Great Kingdom cavalier receives the
following abilities as he increases in level.
Shining Beacon (Su): The knight protector is a physical and spiritual embodiment of
high ideals. At 2nd level, a Knight Protector of the Great Kingdom cavalier gains the ability to
rally his allies. As a standard action, he can give an encouraging speech which grants all allies
within 60 feet a competence bonus on their saving throws against fear equal to his Charisma
modifier and a +1 competence bonus on attack rolls for a number of rounds equal to his cavalier
level. If an ally within range is under the effect of a spell or ability that causes him to be
frightened or panicked, he can immediately make another saving throw to resist the effect (if
Supreme Cleave (Ex): At 8th level, the cavalier can take a 5-foot step between attacks
when using the Cleave, Great Cleave, Cleaving Finish, and Improved Cleaving Finish feats. The
cavalier gains one of these feats as a bonus feat, as long as he meets its prerequisites.
Protect the Meek (Ex): At 15th level, the cavalier can move to intercept foes. As an
immediate action, he can move up to his speed (or his mounts speed, if mounted) and make a
single melee attack. This movement provokes attacks of opportunity as normal. The cavalier
must end his movement adjacent to an enemy. On his next turn, the cavalier is staggered and
cannot use this ability again for1 round.
