1 ball #144 Lilac or color of your choice
• Size 6 (4 mm) knitting needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• Large-eyed, blunt needle

19 sts = 4" (10 cm) in pattern.

knit, slipping st above off needle at same time.

Row 1 (RS) K 1, *p 1, k1b; rep from * to last st, k 1.
Row 2 P 1, *p 1, k 1; rep from * to last st, p 1.

Main Pattern (multiple of 7 + 2)
Row 1 (RS) Knit.
Row 2 P 1, *p 1, k 6; rep from * to last st, p 1.

HAT
Cast on 72 sts and work 10 rows in Fisherman Rib. Work 4 rows in Garter St, then 30
rows Main Pattern.

Crown Decreases
Row 1 (RS) K 1, *k 2, k2tog, k 2, k1b; rep from * to last st, k 1 – 62 sts.
Row 2 P 1, *p 1, k 5; rep from * to last st, p 1.
Rows 3-12 Main Pattern, adjusting number of sts between k1b/p sts to reflect decreases.
