“......

There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, w
hose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinn
ers above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye
that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.......” .
( Luke 13 verse 1 to 5 ).
People died. The tower of Siloam fell on them. It was a natural disaster. Any lo
ss of life is sad. The saddest thing is when people come dace to face with salva
tion and reject the day of their salvation because they fail to recognize the da
y of their visitation.
The Word of God is a mirror to show man how good man is by the Grace of God or h
ow bad man is by rejecting the Grace of God . The Bible as a mirror shows man ho
w he is positionally and spiritually in the eyes of God i.e. in a state of Grace
or in a state of Dis-Grace.
Now if a normal person got mud on their face or some egg on their face from brea
kfast and when normal people look in the mirror and see the mud or egg whatever
the case may be they don't break the mirror and they don't shout at the mirror.
Normal people clean themselves up.
In the Book of James, Chapter One we read from verse 16 :
"...16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from th
e Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kin d
of first fruits of his creatures.
19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak
, slow to wrath:
20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receiv
e with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beh
olding his natural face in a glass:
24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what
manner of man he was.
25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he
being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed
in his deed.
26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but d
eceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the f
atherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the
world......" .
Sin is sin. And sin must be judged. The judgement of God fell on the man the Lor
d Jesus Christ at Calvary. John the Baptist said : “...Behold the Lamb of Go
d which taketh away the sin of the world .....” ( John 1 verse 29 ). the L
ord Jesus Christ is the “... Lamb slain from the foundation of the world...”. (
Revelation 13 verse 8 ).
He was born to die but death had no claim on Him. He was born without sin and ha
d no sin . But at Calvary the sins of the world were placed on Him. As a man He
cried out “..... Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani ? That is to say ,My God, My God ,
why have Thou forsaken Me ? ...” . ( Matthew 27 verse 46 ).
Death was not the end. Death could not hold the Innocent Perfect One. Death had
no legal claim on the Lord Jesus Christ. He arose triumphant, victorious over d
eath , hell and the grave.
He became sin so that we could become the righteousness of God. In 2 Corinthian
s 5 we read :...
21For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made
the righteousness of God in him.
He died so that you and I might live. He became man so that we could become chil
dren of God. He became poor so that we could become rich. He die so that we coul
d live forevermore.
“...For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through J
esus Christ our Lord......” . ( Romans 6 verse 23 ).
The Bible says in Romans 3 verse 23 that : “...For all have sinned and come sh
ort of the Glory of God....”.
The Law in the Old Testament could not redeem man. The blood of animals, bulls ,
sheep and goats could not redeem man. They were just a covering for sin until th
e appointed time when the Kinsmen Redeemer would come born of a virgin woman to
redeem fallen man from sin.
Romans 5 verse i to 6 says : “....1Therefore being justified by faith, we have p
eace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rej
oice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation w
orketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hea
rts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly
.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man
some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Chr
ist died for us ......”.
The Word of God shows sinful man that he is in need of a Saviour and that ther
e is only One True Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ who died and set man free. He d
ied for the sins of the World. John 3 verse 16 says “....For God so loved the wo
rld, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life....”.
