GeoCentrex is a Central Office based business communications service which

provides capabilities similar to those offered on a Private Branch Exchange (PBX).
GeoCentrex integrates all of a business customers lines into a single, highly
functional telecommunication system. It provides a wide selection of features
including of features such as: direct inward dialing, direct outward dialing, and
intercom dialing, among many others.
Centrex derives its name from two words: Central Office and Exchange. Because
GeoCentrex is a Central Office based service, it is unique in that it can only be
provided by the telephone company. While GeoCentrex provides capabilities
comparable to PBX, there is one major difference: with GeoCentrex, a business does
not have the expense or inconvenience of on-site switching equipment. The
switching for GeoCentrex is part of the local Digital Central Office.
The power behind GeoCentrex lies in the Central Office. A GeoCentrex customer can
have its own unique dialing scheme for making calls within the business and
accessing custom calling features.
GeoCentrex offers a number of benefits for business customer. Most of these
benefits center around the fact that GeoCentrex provides a powerful set of
communications services directly from the Central office. This means that business
customers do not have the inconvenience and expense of having to purchase and
maintain their own telephone system.
The benefits of GeoCentrex may be summarized as follows:

high Reliability
