Responsibilities
I cover indoor, outdoor and two emergency duties per week. My
job is full time, regular and residential.

Taking history, clinical examination and case presentations on

bed side and in tutorials.

Dealing with emergencies like trauma, gunshot and firearm

injuries, acute abdomen e.g acute appendicitis, acute intestinal
obstruction, pancreatitis, peritonitis, shock, urinary retention, DVT,
Tetanus, burns, venous cut down, diabetic foot and gangrene, acute and
chronic ischemic limb, and various other surgical procedures.

Competency in resuscitation skills and other minor life saving

procedures.

Managing outdoor patients like having surgical infections,

Thyroid diseases, stomach and duodenum, gallbladder diseases, diseases
associated with billiary tract, Breast diseases, anorectal diseases, hernias,
testis and genito urinary diseases, various tumours of skin and
subcutaneous tissues and varicose veins.

Managed patients of acute and chronic pancreatitis, tetanus,

burns, bed sores, and dealing with pre-op and post op patients.
Decompensated cirrhosis of liver, ESRD, Congestive Heart Failure, IBD,
Stroke, Meningitis, SAH, SLE, Valvular Heart Diseases.
