RECAP: The Rainiers scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th inning, but the team couldnt overcome an early deficit as Tacoma fell to Fresno 39 on Friday night. CF Ketel Marte (2x4, R) led the team with 2 hits, while 1B Jesus Montero (1x3, R, BB) and RH Jabari Blash (1x4, 2 RBI)
combined to drive in all 3 of the Rainiers runs. Starter James Gillheeney (3.2,8,7,7,2,3,HR) recorded his 2nd loss with Tacoma, allowing 7
runs on 8 hits over 3.2 innings. LH Tyler Olson (2.1,5,2,2,0,1) allowed in the top of the 6th inning, while RH Mayckol Guaipe (2.0,1,0,0,0,2)
and RH Tony Zych (1.0,0,0,0,0,2) combined to allow only 1 hit and strikeout 4 over the final 3.0 innings in relief.
HEY NOW YOU ARE AN ALL-STAR: The International League rallied for 3 runs for a come-from-behind 4-3 win over the Pacific Coast
League at Werner Park in the Triple-A All-Star game on Wednesday night. Ketel Marte was the starting shortstop and hit 2nd for the PCL
squad. Overall he went 0-for-2 in the game. RH Forrest Snow represented the Rainiers on the PCL All-Star team, but did not play.

RECAP: The Generals held 3-2 lead entering the 9th inning, but allowed 3 run as Jackson fell to Montgomery 4-5 on Friday night. SS Tyler
Smith (3x3, R, BB) and C Marcus Littlewood (3x4, 2 R, 2 HR, 3 RBI) each led the team with 3 hits, while 3B D.J. Peterson (2x4, R, 2B)
recorded the Generals only other multi-hit game. Littlewood recorded his first career multi-home run game with a soloe shot in each the 6th
and 9th innings. Starter Stephen Landazuri (5.0,5,2,1,5,3) allowed 2 runs (1 ER) on 5 hits over 5.0 innings, but did not factor into the decision.
LH Kyle Hunter (2.0,0,0,0,0,3) struck out 3 in 2.0 perfect innigs. RH Trey Cochran-Gill (1.0,0,1,1,3,0) was charged with 1 run in the 9th
inning, while RH Tyler Knigge (1.0,2,2,2,0,0) was charged with the loss after allowing 2 runs and an inherited runner to score in the 9th inning.
ROY HOWELL TAKES OVER AS MANAGER: The Seattle Mariners announced that hitting coach Roy Howell would assume managerial
duties for the Jackson Generals for the remainder of the 2015 season beginning June 30. Jim Horner, who had managed Seattles Double-A
affiliate since the beginning of last year, recently accepted an assistant coaching position at Washington State University. It marks the secondconsecutive season that Howell has taken over as manager for a Seattle affiliate. Last March, he replaced Rich Donnelly as the manager at
Triple-A Tacoma after Donnelly was named the Mariners third-base coach in Spring Training. He led the Rainiers to a 74-70 mark, and his 74
victories were tied for the 9th-most by a manager in his first full season. Howell, in his 4th season with the Mariners organization, spent 2012
and 2013 with the High Desert Mavericks in the California League. His managerial resume includes three seasons at short-season Eugene
(2003-05), three seasons with San Luis of the California Collegiate League (2007-10) and one season leading the field staff for the Road
Warriors of the independent Atlantic League (2011). A former first-round selection by Texas in the 1972 draft, Howell logged time in the PCL
as a player with Spokane (1974) and Portland (1985), as well as three seasons as a hitting coach with Portland (2000-02).

Seattle Mariners minor league SS Ketel Marte and RHP Edwin Diaz represented the World team in the 17th annual SiriusXM All-Star Futures
Game at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, as part of All-Star weekend. Marte, 21, went 2-for-2 with 1 RBI playing second and batting
leadoff for the World Team. Diaz, 21, allowed 2 runs on 3 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 1 in 0.2 innings (3rd and 4th innings) for the

The Mariners have had 35 selections (including Marte and Diaz) to the Futures Game since its first began in 1999. Six players on the current
