Course Description
This course aims to introduce the students to a new way of understanding Philippine History
by perusing primary sources. Through this, it is hoped that they will develop their own
insights and appreciation of the past to be better Filipinos of today and the future.
Course Intended Learning Outcomes (CILO)
After completing this course, STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO
1. Examine the historical development of the Philippines as a nation;
2. Propose solutions to address present day problems in the light of past events;
3. Use extensively primary sources to the growth of local history;
4. Conduct historical research using traditional and digital means;
5. Participate actively in socio-civic activities in the region to express love of country.

Fipilino ay nasa ilalim ng Tanggapan ng Pangulo ng Pilipinas at nakabahay sa ikalawang palapag ng
Gusaling Watson, 1610 J.P. Laurel St., San Miguel, Maynila.
