Henry was a house carpenter and lived in Hampton from 1640 until 1649 when he bought land in Salisbury.
He was made a freeman in Hampton 18 May 1642.

Henry moved to Charlestown in 1653 and was in Boston in 1654 when he sold land in Salisbury. His name
was on the list of "townsmen and commoners" in Salisbury in 1650 and was living there in 1658 when he
died.

"3d: (12th) mo 1650 Also att ye same meeting it was ordered yt all whose names are here under written,
shalbe accompted townesmen & Comoners, & none butt them, to this prsent, that is to say:... Henry
Ambrosse..."(1)

Susanna gave a deposition in Boston on 19 Nov. 1658.(2)

Henry took the oath of allegiance in Salisbury in 1677.(1) Henry signed a Norfolk Co. petition in 1680 with
other residents of Salisbury and Amesbury.(2) Henry and Susanna signed a petition in favor of Mrs.
Bradbury on 22 July 1692.(3)

From the order book of Capt. Henry True of Salisbury come the following: "Conserning or garisoning
orders was given forth-: for Isaac Morrells to: himself Jarues Ring: or Sargent osgood: for ye plaine to
abram browns to himself & Sargnt Page to Sergent Morrels to himself & Sergnt gill: to Andrew Greleys: to
Richard Smith & henry Ambrus To Mr Cushings Ensign Eaton & Sergnt True & to Jeremy Allins himself

Sergnt Tho Bradbury & Samll Eastman: & ye men ordered to doe ye worke at the severall garrisons
according to yr order & direction: given under my hand the 11th of november 1702."(4)

He and Susanna were admitted to the church in Salisbury 16 Oct. 1715.(5)
