Statement of Qualifications

Applied Pavement Engineering Consultants (APEC), established in 2013, is collaboration between

SOWiL Limited and Applied Pavement Technology, Inc (APTech) USA. APEC aims to be the
pavement engineering specialist in India and is an effort to bring to India the technical expertise of
APTech in developing practical, innovative solutions for the design, maintenance, preservation, and
rehabilitation of airport and highway pavements. We have helped clients identify cost-effective
strategies that reduce the overall life-cycle cost of preserving the pavement network while
incorporating the latest design procedures, material innovations, and construction technologies.

APECs services extend through all aspects of pavement engineering, including the following areas:

Airports
APEC is experienced in pavement management and evaluation, including visual inspections (manual surveys
or high-speed automated video collection) using the PCI methodology and other appropriate tools, structural
testing using a heavy-weight model FWD, destructive testing (coring, boring, materials testing, and dynamic
cone penetrometer [DCP] testing), and seismic pavement analysis. APTechs pavement evaluations provide
an indication of how the pavement is performing, what is causing it to deteriorate if it is not performing as
intended, and what additional information is needed to meet project objectives.
