INT. A STORY BOOK BEING FLIPPED
VOICEOVER - Once upon time, in a faraway kingdom, there was a
handsome prince. He was born to a king and queen, who were both
overjoyed. However, the mother died soon after, and his father
was heartbroken. Later, he married another beautiful woman, who
became the princes step-mother, and the new queen.
SHOT - TRACKING SHOT
Snow Whites step-mother is seen on her throne, then stands up
to face a mirror on the wall.
EVIL QUEEN
Mirror mirror, on the wall, who is the
fairest of them all?
MIRROR
You, my queen, are the fairest of them
all.
EVIL QUEEN
[She smiles satisfactorily, then sweeps
her cape and leaves the room]
CUT TO:
EXT. THE CASTLE - DAY
SHOT - CAMERA PANS ACROSS CASTLE WALLS, THEN ENTERS A WINDOW
Some years later, Snow White is shown, now older and quite handsome for a boy his age. He is seen reading, and humming quietly
under his breath.
SHOT - CAMERA ZOOMS OUT, PANS ALONG CASTLE WALLS, THEN ENTERS
ANOTHER ROOM WITH THE QUEEN IN IT
INT. THE QUEENS ROOM - DAY
The queen is stood across the mirror, and repeats again.
EVIL QUEEN
Mirror mirror, on the wall, who is the
fairest of them all?
MIRROR
My queen, Snow White is the fairest of
them all.

EVIL QUEEN
(horrified)
Snow White is the fairest of them all?
CUT TO:
INT. THE QUEENS ROOM - NIGHT
The queen is furious and enraged. She calls upon her huntsman,
who enters through the door and kneels.
HUNTSMAN
You called, my lady?
EVIL QUEEN
I have a son, do I not? And yet he is
more fair than I, but I cannot let this
happen. Take him to the woods, and
bring back only his heart.
HUNTSMAN
[Bows, then stands and leaves the room
briskly]
CUT TO:
EXT. THE WOODS - EVENING
The huntsman watches as Snow White frolics in the woods, splashing water and trying to talk to animals. The huntsmans face
looks apprehensive.
SHOT - CAMERA TRACKS THE SUN GOING DOWN
CUT TO:
HUNTSMAN
[Grabs Snow Whites sleeve, and whispers into his ear urgently]
SNOW WHITE
(face turning horrified)[He wrenches
himself away from the huntsman and runs
into the woods]

CUT TO:
SHOT - HANDHELD FOLLOWS SNOW WHITE THROUGH THE WOODS
EXT. THE WOODS - NIGHT
Snow White tries to navigate his way through the woods, in a
panicked fashion. He swipes at tree branches and stumbles on
roots. There is a change in music, everything becomes lighter.
CUT TO:
SHOT - PANNING AROUND A MEADOW
EXT. SMALL MEADOW IN THE WOODS - DAY
Woodland creatures start appearing between shrubs, and hiding
behind logs. They are all looking at Snow White, who is walking
towards another clearing past this meadow.
CUT TO:
SHOT - TIGHT SHOT OF SNOW WHITES FACE
SNOW WHITE
(surprised)
Oh! But what is this?
CUT TO:
EXT. THE DWARVES HOUSE - DAY
The house is lit up by sunlight, and looks very welcoming. Snow
White walks up to the house, and knocks on the door. No response. He moves to the right, and tries peering in through the
windows, that are dark and dusty.
CUT TO:
SHOT - CAMERA IS INSIDE DWARVES HOUSE LOOKING AT SNOW WHITE
SHOT - CAMERA PANS FROM WINDOW TO DOOR

INT. THE DWARVES HOUSE - DAY
The door slowly opens, and Snow White steps inside. He is puzzled by the state of the house - it seems lived in, yet utterly
dirty and grimy.
SNOW WHITE
[picks up a sock]
Why, this place seems to be lived in by
children! Look at how small these
chairs are!
[coughs loudly]
And yet this house is so dirty!
(thoughtfully) These children must be
orphans, without their mother!
CUT TO:
INT. THE DWARVES HOUSE - DAY
The door slowly opens, and Snow White steps inside. He is puzzled by the state of the house - it seems lived in, yet utterly
dirty and grimy. He walks around the house. Camera follows and
shows the dust and cobwebs covering the area.
SNOW WHITE
(happily, talking to animals that have
followed him inside)
I know! Well clean the house and surprise them! Then maybe theyll let me
stay!them maybe theyll let me
CUT TO:
SHOT - TRACKING SHOT
INT. THE DWARVES HOUSE - DAY
Camera follows the animals and Snow White around the house as
they do various household chores, such as cleaning the dishes,
dusting, while Snow White himself is sweeping.
SHOT - PAN OUT

INT. THE DWARVES HOUSE - EVENING
The seven dwarves are entering their house after a busy work
day. After stepping inside, they realize that something is
wrong. All seven of them immediately become wary, and figure out
that the intruder is upstairs.
CUT TO:
INT. THE DWARVES ROOM - EVENING
Snow White is sleeping on the dwarves beds, unaware that the
owners of the home and trying to figure out his identity. There
is whispering among them as they try to be quiet.
SNOW WHITE
(yawning, slowly waking up)
Oh dear! What about the child(he is cut off as he sees the dwarves
hiding at the foot of the bed)
Who are you?
HAPPY
Why, we live here. What are you doing
here?
SNOW WHITE
I am Snow White, and my mother tried to
have me killed. Could I please stay
here instead?
ALL DWARVES
Snow White? The prince of the kingdom?
GRUMPY
That queen is a witch, I tell you. She
practices dark magic! As far as we all
know, she could be able to see Snow
White here with us.
SNOW WHITE
(happily)
Oh, she doesnt know where I am! And if
you let me stay, Ill keep house for
you. Ill wash, sew, sweep, cook-

ALL DWARVES
(excitedly)
COOK? Can you cook apple dumplings?
SNOW WHITE
Yes! And plum pudding and gooseberry
pieALL DWARVES
[interrupting him]
GOOSEBERRY PIE? HE STAYS!
INT. THE DWARVES KITCHEN - EVENING
Snow White starts ladling soup for the dwarves, but not before
he reminds them to wash before supper. There is a great commotion, and he finally persuades them to do so.
SHOT - PAN ACROSS DINNER TABLE
All the dwarves are eating happily and raucously.
CUT TO:
INT. THE DWARVES KITCHEN - NIGHT
All the dwarves are dancing and singing after dinner, many of
them are playing instruments and Snow White is dancing. Many
woodland are gathering and watching them have fun. After the
singing and dancing ends, the dwarves gather around Snow White.
BASHFUL
Now you do something!
SNOW WHITE
Well, what should I do?
SLEEPY
Tell us a story! A true story! A love
story!
SNOW WHITE
Well, once there was a princess. And
everybody could see that the princess
was beautiful. The only one for me.

ALL DWARVES
(many speaking and interjecting)
Was she graceful? Could she sing? Was
she small and petite, like a princess?
SNOW WHITE
There was nobody like her, anywhere at
all.
ALL DWARVES
(many speaking and interjecting)
Did he say he loved you? Did he steal a
kiss?
SNOW WHITE
[breaking out into song]
She was so romantic, I could not bear
it.
Some day my princess will come,
Some day we'll meet again.
And away to her castle we'll go,
To be happy forever I know.

Some day when spring is here,

We'll find our love anew.
And the birds will sing,
And wedding bells will ring,
Some day when my dreams come true.

CUT TO:
Close shot of all the dwarves sighing dreamily at the words of
Snow Whites song. After he finishes, they all clap enthusiastically.
CUT TO:
SHOT - TIGHT ON A CUCKOO CLOCK THAT READS 11 PM
INT. THE DWARVES KITCHEN - NIGHT
SNOW WHITE
Oh! Its bedtime already!
(gets up and shoos the dwarves)
ALL DWARVES
Oh no! You can have the beds, well all
stay downstairs.
GRUMPY
[huffs angrily]
SNOW WHITE
Are you quite sure?
ALL DWARVES
Oh, yes!
GRUMPY
[huffs again]
SNOW WHITE
(walks towards the upstairs door, then
leans out)
Well then, good night everybody!
ALL DWARVES
Good night, Snow White!
CUT TO:
INT. THE DWARVES KITCHEN - NIGHT
All the dwarves are sleeping, in various places in the house,
from the sinks to chests. Everybody looks very content.
