The DUPLEX RDH4 is fitted with an S5 series modern heat recovery exchanger heat
recovery unit . Inside it, heat transfer takes place through its partition plates in winter
warm exhaust air pre-heats cold air supplied from outside. Heat recovery efficiency thanks
to its special design and the subsequent high heat recovery efficiency the exchanger
achieves a very economical consumed electric power (to run the fans) to heat recovery ratio.
The fan input / heat recovery ratio during swimming pool ventilation reaches an energy
efficiency rate of 1745, i.e. for each 1 W of electric power used to run the DUPLEX RDH4
in ventilation mod up to 45 W of energy is recovered from the swimming pool's exhaust air.
Effective ration 1 : 45. The material used to make heat recovery exchangers is also an
important point when they are used in swimming pools the entire heat recovery exchanger
is made of plastic whose properties make it resistant even to a highly aggressive
environment caused by exhaust air condensation.

Heat source
As standard the DUPLEX RDH4 includes a built-in RD4 modern control system. On top of standard
functions, it also has optional modes for swimming pools an idle mode (usually 24 C) and
an operational mode (usually 2830 C). Switching between these two modes can be done via a weekly
time schedule or based on immediate requirements; this can be also done remotely through Internet
connection. During this switching the control system automatically set the circulation output and
controls heat sources such as mixing valves, gas boiler and a heat pump etc. based on readings from
a room temperature sensor. When the required indoor temperature value is reached, it switches
to the circulation output for uniform ventilation in the area and maintains supply air temperature.
If relative humidity exceeds the value set by the hygrostat, it automatically increases the volume
of ventilation air. The user can utilize swimming pool modes with pre-set operating temperature
and the automatic start of ventilation demand by a room hygrostat. A selection of other operating mode
is additionally available circulation, circulation & ventilation, equal pressure ventilation including
temperature settings, also in weekly programming mode. For more information on control options
and documentation for electric terminal connections it is recommended using ATREA's design software
with detailed outputs for subsequent electrical, health & engineering and central heating professions.
POWER CONNECTIONS
The DUPLEX RDH4 is fitted with a hot-water air heated optimized for low temperature gradients to
make it suitable also for e.g. heat pump systems. The RD4 control system makes it possible to provide
power supply 230 V for the circulation pump, control the mixing valve via a 010 V output, close a
24 V DC valve or send a command to the power supply to run via a switch contact. During 010 V
control the control voltage depends on the outlet air temperature to the swimming pool area. The
system is not controlled based on outside temperature; operating performance rates are determined
solely by demand from swimming pool or wellness club areas.
