Goals and Objectives
1. Equip students with mastery and pedagogical skills to enable them to pass the Licensure Examination for Teachers.
2. Develop desired qualities of an effective teacher, the elementary level who is gender sensitive and environment conscious.
3. Undertake research activities to improve quality instruction in the elementary.
4. Disseminate research result to teachers and other concerned individuals and institutions.
5. Provide relevant and innovative instructional materials for effective teaching.
6. Conduct continuing non-formal education and other relevant extension activities for the improvement of life in the community.

VII. Course description
For the student to have a better understanding of the natural environment. The course will tackle and examine a number of topics as
environmental issues and ecological principles which are basic to understanding of environmental interactions including the flow of matter and
energy in ecosystem. It also deals with the study of the biosphere and the impact of human activities on it and the various environmental crises that
beset the planet today.

As a result of participating in this course learners will:
1.Develop content knowledge about environmental science, environment and ecosystem.
2.Be expected to explain the connection between material wealth and resource exploitation.
3.Be able to associate typical plants and animals with various terrestrial biomes
4.Provide models to illustrate ways to teach beyond the textbook.
5.Be able to correlate the industrial revolution with various social and economic changes
6.Develop the concept sustainable growth and progress in Phil setting.

VII. Course description
