So, I read a great book called The Riverman. Its about a

kid named Alastair (dont know if I spelled that right) who gets
asked by a girl named Fiona to Pen her biography. He agrees.
Although Alastair thinks Fiona is a regular girl (which she kinda
is) asking for her biography to be Penned there is alot more
going on than he realizes(BY THE WAY THIS IS A VERY
BAD SUMMARY UNLIKE THE MARTIAN ONE)
Otherwise I think is a great book and you should read it (by
the way, read The Martian).

THE MARTIAN REVIEW

Begining Summary: Ok, so I read a book
called The Martian, and IT WAS SO GOOD! (There
making it into a movie!) It takes place around 3 or
something years in the future. So, there was a series
of missions to Mars called Ares. Ares one and two
both got home fine. On the mission ares three there
was a dust storm with high very high winds! One
of the crew members named Mark Watney gets a
antenna blown at him during the dust storm. The
antenna going through him and his bio-monitor
(The thing that shows how high his heartbeat is or
something) makes it seem to his crew as though
Mark had died. (Because the Antenna went through
the bio-monitor which makes it seem as though his
heart has stopped) The blow from the antenna with
almost no gravity evidently blew him back pretty
far. With his crew having to leave, and him Mark
being stranded on Mars and the next Ares mission
being in four years, it seems as if Mark Watney
wont survive. But there has to be a chance

My Review: This is an amazing book. The author was

(Obviously if you read the book) very smart. This book
is very well written with many problems happening
along the way. Another thing I really like about The
Martian is that it is all possible. What the author writes
in those conditions actually could happen. (Not that Im
saying I would like if it happened) So, yeah. GET THE
MARTIAN.
WARNING: Do not get this book if you dont
like cursing!

R: Ok, so recently Mya and I went to Miranda

Sings show! It was AWESOME! I dressed up
as her, with a button down shirt and really baggy
red sweatpants. And of course, a lot of lipstick.
Since August 16th is my birthday, when I met
Miranda Sings at the meet and greet, she sang
Happy Birthday to me in front of 200 people!
BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!

1. Before the assassination of Abe Lincoln, his son

almost fell on to the train tracks with a train coming!
Luckily, he was saved by the cousin of the man who
would murder the president!!!!
2. The oldest president with living grandkids is John
Tyler. (Two of his wives died, and he married his third
wife at age 80. They then had several kids together. Do
the math!)
3. Count Dracula was a real person! He had very weird
hair and I think he was insane
4. Walker Anderson (yes, the counselor) is the seventh
Walker Anderson in his family.
5. Napoleon was once attacked by rabbits. 335 40 mins
6. The longest war ever lastest 335 years, and shortest
war ever last 38 minutes.
7. Walker is not older than the Old Building! This really
shocked me when I found out

M: We were both VIPs so we got to go to the

VIP meet and greet! The meet and greet was
you got to take a picture with Miranda, Rachel
Ballinger, Amanda (IDK but someone famous
or something), Josh, Her husband, Chris, her
brother, Chris wife and kids, and Colleens
Mom, Gwen.
R: When I got to meet Miranda, I told her I
was one of the impersonators she FaceTimed
from CRCAP and she gasped. Isnt Faith
AWESOME? She exclaimed. SHOUTOUT TO
FAITH! I nodded and I got to take a photo with
her.
M: When I met Miranda she told me i looked
bootiful in my outfit (i dressed like her) and i
also told herr I was one of the impersonators she
FaceTimed from CRCAP!
R: I went with my friend Toni, not with Mya. But
when we were in line for the meet and greet, we
found each other and our moms finally met. After
we left the meet and greet, we went out to dinner
together before the real show started. It was an
AMAZING asian cuisine and it had a really cool
solar powered kitten and crystal rooster!
M: It was called Miranda Sings summer camp
and Miranda talked about camp-y things like
how to get a summer fling or how to get WiFi.
R: There were 4 badges (there is another one but
its not camp appropriate). The Nature Badge,
The BAE Badge, The Bonding Badge, and
Participachin (thats how she spelled it) Badge.
If we won all the badges, we would earn the
Talent Show!

M: At first the talent show was kids coming on stage

and impersonating Miranda then Miranda was like, it
should be ALL me and she showed us her talents like
acting, singing, dancing, modeling and magicianing.
R: One of my favorite parts of the show was when she
called up to girls. One girl wore a button down shirt,
buttoned to the top, and one girl wore a very revealing
outfit (short shorts and a tank top). She said that that
girl was being inappropriate and she was really upset.
I can see your crack! She yelled. She applauded the
other girl and let her leave. But then she made the other
girl stay onstage. She tried different ways how to fix
her outfit. She put a Unicorn Horn on her head, and
covered her outfit in a drawing of a button down shirt.
She realized that still didnt work, so she gave her a
sign that said Pray 4 Me, since she was OBVIOUSLY
a sinner.
M: the Miranda show was a great experience and i had
a great time it was an awesome night!!!:)
R: The Miranda show was one of the greatest nights of
my life and Ill never forget it!

What can you do to make your fanfictions better?

Fanfiction. Its great, normally. A lot of the stuff out there is only so-so, and
a lot of it is horrible. Burt there are some good fanfiction writers out there.
So what can you do to improve your fics?

Ok, so I got another question

today (well, it really wasnt
a question) but I would like
some more, so here is the
question that I got today:

Good spelling and grammar. You dont want to read a fanfic that
looks like this: nd ten hrry loked in to drcos lovng eyes and lept
in to hs arms. oh drco i lv u hairy sez idk tat im grifendoor n ur
slithern. pretty bad, right? Make sure to check your spelling, use
correct punctuation, and use caps when needed. Give it to your
grammar teacher if needed! You dont want to end up as the next
Ebony Darkness Dementia Raven Way.
NO MARY SUES! I cannot stress this enough. Nobody wants to
read about Mary-Sue getting together with Sherlock Holmes and
they go solve mysteries together. People would be surprised at the
amount of Mary Sues out there. Once again, you dont want your
character to be the next Ebony Darkness Dementia Raven Way. Its
okay to use OCs, just make sure theyre not too overpowering.
If you make an AU, make sure you write about how the changes
affected your character. For example, if you write an AU about Percy
never being a Demigod, write about how that may have affected his
personality. If Percy has a certain trait that he attained because of his
Demigod experiences, write about how he doesnt have it anymore,
and if you do want to incorporate that trait, write about how he gets
that trait in a different way.
Stay true to the actual character. If you want to make a fanfiction
good, dont write about Malfoy frolicking in a field of puppies or
about the Purple Guy dating your OC. If youre going to write a
Solangelo fanfic, dont write about Will being super sad and Nico is
the happiest person in the world. Stay true to the character!
Make sure you really get the characters youre writing about. If you
know nothing about Wendy and Dipper, how are you supposed to
write about them? My all-time favorite fanfiction writer, Aggie2011,
is AMAZING at writing. She writes Avengers/Clintasha fanfiction.
Why are her fanfictions so great? Well, she writes really well,
and she really gets the characters. The usual Clintasha fanfiction
is somebody who knows nothing about Hawkeye, nothing about
Black Widow, but still writes the fic because they ship it. Aggie2011
honestly gets all of the characters, all of the Avengers, and thats one
of the things that make her fics great.
Dont make the story too similar to everyone elses. There are
countless Hunger Games fanfictions about And then, *insert OC*
goes into the Hunger Games and *does everything Katniss did*
if youre going to write something, read other fics first. Make sure
what youre writing isnt the same as everyone elses.
Thats all for now. There are so many things you can do to make your
fanfictions better, but these are the basics. Happy writing!

Okay. Time to do a thing out
of the blue. Yaaaaay.
TODAYS REVIEW:
Splatoon, Nintendo 2015
Nintendos new IP,
Splatoon, released just a few
months ago. It is actually
ORIGINAL now. (Finally!!
GOD NINTENDO!! You kept
up the Mario train for a whole
lot of time! (They still are.))
It is the first Nintendo
game to be a shooter except
you dont get points for kills.
Instead the game is about
little squid midgets trying to
paint the floor, while failing
to be cool and hip. Gameplay
wise, it is MASTERFUL with
quick and clean control.
Overall 10 out of
10 for the online mode.
Meanwhile, the single player
mode lacks good story and
payoff. That gets a 7 out of
10.
I have to go now! But

horror story by Algernon Blackwood, The legend says that
this creature is born from a person who does cannibalism.
In 1997 a man driving a truck in Ontario was said to
see a wendigo crossing the road. They described it as a
large,wild human thats not so like bigfoot. Beware those
who love to camp.

3) In Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith,
all of the clone troopers were CGI.

3. Mothman: Recent, this creature is said to be

a humanoid creature with glowing red eyes,
that it can fly, 8 feet tall, and with webbed
arms. In tennessee it was said that a paranormal
investigator was said to come face-to-face with
mothman himself. In Texas, a grown man was
said to be haunted by a memory of a time when
he was a boy of mothman.
2. Fairies: Walt Disney was actually part of a
fairy investigation society. The fairy was said
to be kind in nature and the sightings were
frequent. Until 1990 when the interest in fairy
sighting weakened, The fairy investigation
society had to close down. Now Fairies are said
to be aggressive and stubborn. Why? We may
never know.
1. Dragons: Calling all cryptid lovers, here is the
best one yet DRAGONS! Nowadays dragons
are spotted normally, in 1967 a winged reptile
was said to stay awhile in Texas and in Tibet,
people started seeing a house sized creature

people identified the unidentified creature on the
lake as a black, scaly dragon. And on youtube,

Advice Column Thief?!?!

K:Today, a very important issue has come to us. We think

theres an advice column thief on the loose. We did some
research, and we came up with three suspects.

1) Walker Anderson

3) The Author of Ask Miranda (she was one of the
only ones who had questions)
When asked about the thief, Walker told us he wouldnt
have done it, as that would make his life so much harder.
We scratched Walker off the list.
A: So what did we do? Heres the list

4) Try and find out the name of Ask Miranda
5) Find out the name
6) Walk around more to try and find her class

Yeah, we spent almost the entire period trying to find this

K: She told us that she didnt feel as though she was

a break from running the column, and didnt check it
for about 3 days. She hasnt answered any of her past

Some Things You Need To Know About the

2017 Ford GT

Remember last years review articles? Its back.
Yay. Todays will be about the new Ford GT.
Yes, its back. The 2017 GT will have more
then 600 HP, and uses a 3.5 liter V6 instead
of a V8 engine. The original GTs won the 24
Hour race called Le Mans a lot of times. They
are going for another win in 2016. Although
its a Ford, the GT will be able to compete with
Ferraris, the new Porsche 991 GT3-RS, and the
Chevy Corvette. This car will start off at around
$149,000, which is much cheaper than some
top competitors. It will have Gullwing doors,
which means they open upwards instead of out
to the side. The GT will have the best powerto-weight-ratio. This car also has an air brake,
which uses the rear spoiler as a brake. The front
suspension can be raised or lowered so you can
go over speed bumps without destroying the
bumper! Although the electric motor powering
the front wheels, it saves the new GT some
weight. The cars design is to help air come into
the vents or around the car. The body is shaped
to push the car into the ground at high speed
for better traction and aerodynamic efficient.
Heated air from the engine passes through the
center of the rear tail-lights, so those arent
shaped like that by accident. They will keep the
dual exhaust pipes above the rear bumper. Ford
added a feature that is quite surprising - a back
up camera! The rear window is very small, so
parking would be a bit hard. The camera
is under the licence plate, so it doesnt mess up
the bodywork. The old GT started off at more,
and (based on cars.com) goes from $200,000 to
$500,000 dollars. And paint stripes.
