Calculations
Hevacomp calculations to be undertaken for typical apartments for confirmation of heat
gains/losses.(next stage)
Smoke extract from lobbies is determined by fire engineers as it is related to fire load not
10 ACH. The mechanical smoke extract system can be utilised for corridor vent.
CHP to be base load only.
Storage normally based upon 50% of total.
Drawings
Public Health
Overflow/connection to gravity drainage to be shown.
What is harvested rainwater used for?

BCWS appears oversized. Where bath and showers shown combined the loading units for
showers only to be applied.
Dual compartment tank required for cold water.
LTHW pumps run/standby.
LTHW schematic to indicate number of components such as boilers etc.

Below slab drainage by others. We do need suspended drainage drawing as this will
impact on spatial fit.

Are relief vents required for connection above and below offsets and vent to atmosphere.
Drainage schematics to show access doors at each level.

Tank is not a combined fire & domestic vessel.

Dry riser to be shown.
Domestic zone valves not usually required at each floor unless a requirement of fire
strategy.

HWS is normally single pipe with self maintenance heater tapes.

Layout for 2.01 may require additional stack as W/M waste is normally close to ffl. Please
note a connection is required for the WHVU condensate.
Prefer no rodding eye on WC as it is easier to remove pan.

Domestic sprinkler system pipework maximum 50mm diameter.(approx 200l/m)

Mechanical
Plant and equipment to be shown in correct locations.
Low loss header to be shown.
Smoke extract duct size to be increased for volume determined by fire engineering
strategy.

Domestic storage can be reduced.

BCWS flow rates can be reduced.
Is there sufficient height in plantroom to maintain access over the 2m high tanks?
Domestic tank to have dual compartments.
Any requirements for CAT 5. I assume we will use rainwater harvesting.

Is LTHW equipment based upon selections or indicative as we do not believe spatial fit
has been proven.
Please take account of suspended drainage systems etc.

Return air to be ducted from room FCU is suppling.(next stage)

Remove attenuators as there will not be sufficient space.
Additional sections(including corridor) required to prove spatial fit as discussed with Mike
Parkinson.

Extract not required in bedrooms.

Return air to be ducted from living spaces to FCU.
External static of FCU to be reviewed.(next stage)
