HJC HELMET CARE GUIDE

Only use approved methods to clean the helmet. Using other unapproved chemicals or methods may damage
the helmet shell or lining. A damaged helmet may increase your risk of serious injury or death in an accident.
SHELL CLEANING
Glossy Finish: HJC recommends cleaning your helmet with products designed for automotive cleaning and polishing. All HJC helmets are finished with an
automotive type base coat/clear coat finish. Rubbing compounds can be used for deep cleaning to remove many scratches and scuffs. Follow the products
instructions diligently. Over polishing with rubbing compounds can cause light abrasions which may dull the finish of your helmet. Stickers and decals will
leave adhesive residue when removed. To remove the adhesive residue, use alcohol swabs. Be certain to immediately wipe away the excess liquid and
clean the area with soap and water once the adhesive residue is removed. Do not use excessive pressure while rubbing when attempting to remove the
adhesive residue, instead use multiple light treatments.
Non-Glossy Finish: For our flat finish (non-glossy) helmets, we recommend using warm water and mild soap. Use multiple treatments for heavier dirt. Do not
use excessive pressure or rubbing compounds while cleaning the surface as a glossy effect could be created, ruining the flat finish appearance.
SHIELD CARE & CLEANING
Cleaning: HJC does not recommend cleaning any shield with spray-on type chemical cleaners. A reaction between shield and cleaning chemical is possible,
resulting in haze build-up and distortion. HJC recommends washing the shield with warm water and soft cloth only. We also recommend cleaning the shield
as soon as possible after dirt and debris have accumulated. Do not let debris sit on the shield for any extended period of time. If debris has accumulated
over time, it is recommended to clean the shield in several applications. This allows the debris to break down with every application. Excessive rubbing can
lead to scratching as the hard debris can act as a scuffing agent. The same can occur if low grade rigid paper towels are used.
Rain-X & Other Products: Applying Rain-X or other water dispersing type chemicals work well on HJC shields (except RST mirrored shields) if applied on
new shields and if the chemical companies directions are followed diligently. Always use extremely soft and clean cloths for applications.
HJC anti-fog treated shields (HJ-09): HJCs anti-fog treated shields are anti-fog coated on the inside and have a hard coated outside. When first using the
anti-fog HJ-09, you must activate the anti-fog by breathing directly on to the shields interior surface. The shield will partially fog, once the fog clears it is
activated. You will notice if you breathe on the shield again, it remains fog free. All anti-fog coatings are a chemical treatment and will wear off in time.
RST shields: RST shields are extremely sensitive to handling. The RST treatment can be rubbed off if excessive pressure is applied while cleaning and the
use of cleaners is guaranteed to destroy the mirror finish. HJC does not recommend using any chemical product on our RST mirrored shields, as they will
degrade the mirror finish. For cleaning, we recommend washing the shield with warm water and a soft cloth.
INTERIOR CARE
Although we recommend changing a helmet every 3 to 5 years, the accumulation of sweat, humidity, and dirt can deteriorate the fabric and stitching and
this may cause odor. To wash HJC removable interiors, HJC recommends gentle machine washing using mild detergent and air drying. For non-removable
interiors, HJC recommends using bacteria and mildew eliminating products such as Helmet Fresh.
VENT CLEANING
Dirt and debris can find its way into the venting of your HJC helmet. Compressed air cans used for cleaning computer keyboards may be used to blow the
debris from the ventilation system. It is recommended that you remove any removable pads before doing this process.

CASTLE 3 YEAR WARRANTY
Select Castle products with an attached 3 YR Warranty/Registration hang tag are covered by the following
product warranty for three years from date of purchase:
Castle products are fully warranted to the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship
for three years. If this product fails within the first three years due to a manufacturing defect, we will
either repair or replace it upon our inspection. This warranty does not cover failure due to customer
negligence, improper care, accidents or normal wear and tear. All coverage under this warranty is void if
any modifications, change or alterations has been made to the product. Repaired or replaced products are
covered for the remainder of the original warranty only. Please retain the following information with proof of
purchase; product name, date purchased, and dealership name (where product was purchased).
Three Year Warranty covered products are: Thrust Jacket, Force Jacket, Scout Jacket, Surge Parka,
Tundra Bib, Factor Bib & Surge Pant.
CASTLE 1 YEAR WARRANTY

All Castle products with an attached Warranty/Registration hang tag are covered by the following product
warranty for one year from date of purchase:
Castle products are fully warranted to the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship for
one year. If this product fails within the first year due to a manufacturing defect, we will either repair or replace
it upon our inspection. This warranty does not cover failure due to customer negligence, improper care,
accidents or normal wear and tear. All coverage under this warranty is void if any modifications, change or

CASTLE RETURN PROCEDURE

All valid items in need of warranty repair, etc., must be returned to the dealership where it was purchased.
Castle will not accept returns directly from the consumer. The following must be provided to the dealership for
its return to Castle for repair:
Product must be cleaned before returning. Unwashed products will be returned without being repaired.
Defective product with an explanation of problem.
Original Receipt of purchase.
The Dealership must then contact Castle Sales Co., Inc. at 1-800-242-8100 for return authorization information
and instructions.
HJC 3 YEAR WARRANTY
Any questions regarding HJCs 3 Year Warranty, please contact them directly via email: info@hjchelmets.com
HJC hereby extends a limited warranty to the purchaser of HJC helmets that the helmet is free of defects in materials & workmanship.
COVERAGE: This warranty is applicable for manufacturers defect only and is good for three years from the date of purchase.
It does not apply to any problems arising out of wearers misuse, negligence, modifications, accident, etc.
DISCLAIMER: Any warranty of merchantability and any implied warranty are hereby expressly disclaimed. In addition, HJC
shall not be liable for any consequential damages.
PROCEDURE: In order to receive warranty, please take the helmet, along with receipt of purchase showing the date purchased, a
brief written explanation describing the problem, purchasers name and phone number to an authorized HJC dealer.

HOW TO MEASURE
For the most accurate sizing, have someone else take your measurements making sure the
measuring tape is snug but not tight against your body. Measure over light/minimal clothing.
Our sizing charts should be used as a general guide for determining your size. Variations in body
shape as well as cut and style of the product should be considered when choosing a size.

CHEST/BUST: Measure the fullest part of your chest/bust, under your arms.
HIP
HIP: Stand with heels together, & measure around your body at the fullest part of your hips/seat.
LENGTH
ARM LENGTH: Measure from center back at base of your neck, along shoulder and down arm
to wrist with a slightly bent elbow.
INSEAM
WIDTH
WAIST: Measure around your natural waist (the smallest part) keeping the tape loose.
INSEAM: Using a pair of pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of your leg.
GLOVE LENGTH: Measure from the tip of middle finger to the wrist.
GLOVE WIDTH: Measure from the outside edge of the hand across palm to opposite hand edge.
HEAD: Wrap tape around your head, just above eyebrows. Note measurement at point of overlap.

Policy:
Castle Sales Co., Inc. is a wholesale distributor selling to legitimate business establishments. Possession of this catalog
or use of our website does not guarantee the right to purchase from Castle Sales. We reserve the right to refuse doing
business with any company or individual without prior notice being given.
Prices:
Dealer costs and suggested list prices are noted on our price list or online at castlesales.net. All prices are subject to
change without notice, but we make every attempt to keep you informed of any price changes. Always check invoice to
verify current cost.

A $25.00 service charge is applied to any returned check.
Closeout Items:
We have no minimum order. A $3.00 service charge is added to orders less than $50.00.
Our terms are C.O.D., Credit Card or Net10th of the month. We do not pay C.O.D. fees. By accepting any order from
Castle Sales Co., Inc. you are acknowledging that your company is entering into a business transaction under Wisconsin
State Law at Green Bay, WI.
We pay freight on orders over $595.00. Orders less than $595.00 will be shipped FOB Green Bay, WI via the most
economical carrier. Freight will not be paid on past due accounts.
Free Freight or up to 6% freight allowance on $595 or more of shippable closeout items.
Closeout items will be invoiced and shipped separately from non-sale items.
Closeout items may not be returned. Sale prices do not apply to prior purchases
A 3% service fee is added to credit card orders.
Refused Shipments: A $25.00 service charge plus freight is applied to any refused shipment.
Delivery:
Every effort is made to ship all orders complete within 24 hours.

Unless you indicate NOBACKORDERS, items temporarily out of stock will be shipped automatically. Backorders over 15
days old will be reconfirmed by phone before we ship. Backorders under $25.00 will be canceled.
Claims:
Title to merchandise passes to the customer when order is accepted by carrier. Damage or shortage claims should be
made by customer directly to carrier.
Returns:
Closeout merchandise may not be returned or exchanged.

All invoice or shipping discrepancies must be reported within 5 days of receipt.

If the error is ours, replacement or credit will be issued. Castle Sales does not issue call tags, but will reimburse freight charges.

Merchandise returns are not permitted without prior approval and require an RA number furnished only by contacting our Customer
Service Department. RA numbers are to identify shipments and do not assure that credit will be issued or an exchange will be made.

Non-defective merchandise returned within 10 days of receipt will be assessed a 10% restocking fee, plus freight.

Non-defective merchandise returned 10-30 days of receipt will be assessed a 15% restocking fee, plus freight.

No returns accepted after 30 days.

All returns must have an RA number and also be accompanied with the original invoice number and in original packaging
suitable for resale.
Warranty:

Castle Sales Co., Inc. grants no warranties whatsoever, whether expressed, implied or statutory, including without
limitation the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Customers sole remedy is
specifically limited to the warranties, if any, granted by the manufacturer of the product. The foregoing is customers
exclusive remedy for breach of warranty. In no event shall, Castle Sales Co., Inc. be liable for any incidental or
consequential damages as a result of defects in material or workmanship in the products it sells.
