PRESIDENTS WELCOME
Welcome to all players, members, volunteers, sponsors.
Our season is nearly over with our last game this weekend. Unfortunately with our Year
8/9/11 Teams all struggling due to low numbers we will not have any sides playing
finals this year. On a positive though all of those sides as well as our Year 7 Team who
have also been short on player numbers have represented the club very well and never
given up. As the saying goes You learn as much from a loss as a win, so I hope all
players can take some positives out of these experiences, and the Club wishes to
congratulate all players for sticking the season out.
In our Year 4/5/6 Teams we have faired much better with some great games of footy.
Players, parents and Coachs should be congratulated on their effort and results.
It has been pleasing to see we have only had 2 Yellow cards, 1 Red Card and 2
First Offence Warning Letters so far this season. Coachs, parents and players
please keep up this effort for the last game to maintain a big improvement over past
years performance.
I wish to thank Harold Ball for stepping up as President for 6 weeks in June/July whilst I
dealt with other Business outside the football club. This thanks also goes to the other
Committee members as well, as it generally meant more work fell on fewer people.
Sponsors - we again thank and extend our gratitude to the wonderful businesss that
sponsor our club through either via cash contributions, gifts, or time.
Oldham Oval Building Extension Construction has commenced as you will all
notice. Expected building completion date is late this year.
Quiz Night- a big thanks to Sue Moir, Sam Phillips, Sharon Egan, Harold Ball, Dee Wirth
and other helpers for putting this great night on, and all the people who attended. The
club raised nearly $2000 from this event
Auskick - a big thanks to Jason and Jamie and Coachs for a wonderful year. Our
participation at last weekends Gala day at McDonald Reserve showed an increase in
player attendees over previous years. I hope all our Auskick players have enjoyed the
year. The Auskick windup is scheduled for this Sunday 23 rd Oct 12-2pm at Oldham Oval.
Club Volunteers and Coachs- congratulations on supporting the players, club and
committee to make sure things run as smoothly as possible from week to week. I hope
our Coachs have gained valuable experience and continue to carry on their great work
in 2016.
Masters Sausage Sizzle - big thanks to Dee Wirth for helping coordinating this on Sat
8th Aug, and all volunteers (Krystal and family, Harold and Daniel Ball, Dee Wirth, Phil
and Jesse Hortle - who came out of retirement and the Browne family) who worked on
the day. The profit was very small due to very unfavourable weather conditions. Thanks
to Ken and Janet Clutterbuck for organising this event for the club.

YEAR 4 Ospeys
The Year 4 Ospreys have had a good season so far with much improvement from the
team as the season has progressed. Their skills are getting better every week and the
teamwork shown has been impressive. Well done!
We have had some great wins and some close losses but the effort and enthusiasm
shown by the kids has been fantastic.
We would also like to thank our enthusiastic and helpful parent group. We have no
shortage of volunteers for the roles required weekly to make the games and training
possible. Special thanks to our parent umpires Kate Maliphant and Sean Wilby, our
assistant coach Jason Maliphant and first aider Donna Green. What you do each and
every week is greatly appreciated and we couldnt have done it with you.
Justin (coach)

have been working hard to become great team players, good sports and have mean
footy skills, I know myself and all the parents are extremely proud of them !!.
I would like to thank Susan who was our coach at the start of the season who took time
out to deal with personal injury! Susan is back now as a parent helper and is keen to
help out !! Brad G our coach and Brad A our assistant coach are great with the boys
they both have the skill of keeping the boys in line but keeping it light hearted at the
same time!!! Our first aiders Kim and Cher ,I don't think the boys are shy about getting
hurt anymore, you ladies seem to be fixing injuries every week, so a big thank you I
know our parents appreciate it.

Year 5
What a great year these young boys have had! They have truly exceeded the
expectations of their parents, the coaches and I think probably even themselves. They
have embraced our teams golden rules to the fullest
1. Respect for themselves and each other because everyone is different. They
have earnt respect from the opposition in the way they play each other.
2. Pride in themselves, their team mates and above all the Yanchep Red Hawks
jersey they wear every week so proudly.
3. Full Commitment to the team: giving every contest 100%, always thinking of the
team ahead of themselves. Walking off the ground win or lose with their heads
held high.
I am so proud of these boys and the team they have become. They have earnt the
respect of all the teams we play, whose coaches tell ,e they are relentless in their
pressure, extremely hard but fair, always playing for the ball. Their use of the ball in
transisition from one end of the ground to the other, their turn over is second to none.
We are all excited to watch this team develop and are sure with continued commitment
they will continue to have great success as we go forward.
A huge thank you must go to all the parents for getting the boys to all the games and
training as we have had 95% attendance all year for both.
To all our regular official helpers each week I cannot thank you all enough, without you
all there simply is not a game. Enjoy the time off season everyone and lets come back
with a solid pre-season and see just how far we can go. Go the mighty Red Hawks!
Wilko (coach)
YEAR 6
What a great season weve had! Every player has consistently played their role for the
team, and many players have really stepped it up a level this year. The teamwork and
team spirit have been outstanding. It has been very pleasing to see that the players
kept their cool even in tough games, and they all focused on playing a great brand of
footyhard but fair, never give up, work as a team! Well done to all players, you can be
really proud of yourselves! A big thanks to team manager Nicole and all the parents
and helpers for your support. Go the Red Hawks! Ulli & NevYr 6 coaches
Ulli (coach)
YEAR 7
Well there is 1 game left to play for the season. First I would like to thank coaches
managers first aiders runners water personnel and boundary and goal umpires for the
support for the year. Its been better for the team to enjoy playing in a division where
skill level were not so far apart. The team have definitely improved and that should
show enthusiasm going in for the last game. Thanks also for the parents to bringing
their children to training and game day. Thanks all for the efforts shown good luck on
the last game Steve (coach)
YEAR 8
A huge effort by the boys throughout the season. Congratulations to Jai Jefferies and
Brayden McCarthy for playing 50 games during the season. Thanks to the Leigh, Gav
and the Heesters for all your extra help. To all our parents we say thank you and to
Amanda and Michael your coaching as been inspirational and thank you both for all
your dedication and effort to our team. Looking forward to the 2016 season.

YEAR 9
This week is rd 14 game against Kingsley brings to an end a challenging but rewarding
season for our Yr 9 team. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the players
and parents for their efforts and support though out the year. Special thanks to
manager Sue Moir and thanks to our wonderful groups of parents and special mention
to Cam, Rex our awesome boundary umpires, Jeremy fantastic runner, Darryl
inspirational goal umpire and Rick our calm and caring first aider for week in and out.
The boys should be very proud and congratulated for showing resilience and courage in
the face of adversity.
We have had 3 serious injuries and do wish a speedy recovery to our players that have
been unable to finish the season due to injuries Kade Allison, Nicholas Hemmitt, Bryson
Stanton. Our team has been very low on numbers every week due to injuries so a huge
thank you to the awesome year 8 boys who filled in for use when possible Tyler,
Tyson, Riley, Jasper, Lang thanks boys.
Huge congratulations to our Ty Hindmarsh and Michael Moir for playing 100 games this
season a huge effort and one you both be very proud of achieving.
At a recent coaching seminar in Melbourne I learnt the importance of creating a strong
club culture which we will continue to work on in the coming seasons.
Garth (coach)
Year 11
With the last game coming unfortunately we haven't had the best year if you look at
wins as your measurement. Not winning a game has had its challenges not only on the
players, but for myself and Andy as coaches, I think not only have we handled it well,
but we have improved dramatically.
The development of our skills, tactics and knowledge has been good to see as that is a
very important part to football. However to the boys credit their attitude and character
has really shone through and proved that winning isn't what we should always worry
about. They have shown even through the tough times, they can still play tough fair
football and are quickly gaining the respect from other teams and supporters. This is
something you can take into your lives and use these experiences for other situations
you may come across in your lives.
Congratulations to Tom Phillips and Zac Chilli on playing their 50 games this year for
the club so well done. A special mention to Ethan Boath or 'chops' as he is known, for
doing something no other player has done, and that is playing 150 games in the last
game of the season.
The most thanks to all the volunteers throughout the year that have helped the team
grow and the people who help every week without acknowledgement so thank you. A
special thanks to Andy for being a great assistant coach and to Craig who has always
been in my corner for help for the past couple of years. Lastly, to the guys who are
finishing their junior football, well done, you guys have improved a lot since i have
coached you guys and i am really proud to have been a part of your football.
Thanks Ryan Year 11 (coach)
