inserting the CD-ROM into your drive. If you do not (or if you have autorun
disabled), choose Run from the Start menu and type (or choose from the Browse

program.
Q2. : Why am I getting there error " WAV file playback required " causing setup
to stop.
A: WAV files are sound files. If you get this error you probably do not have a s
ound card
installed on your system. Sound cards are required for most multimedia CD-ROM p
roducts,
and are listed as a system requirement on our boxes.

Q3. : Why does my machine crash after the radio sequence.

A.: If you have ruled out memory requirements (not enough RAM) and are not tryin
g to
run any other programs simultaneously with our program, another common source of
crashes and other errors is the Quicktime for Windows runtime. If Quicktime is
incompatible with your machine, you may experience system lockups upon startup,
or error messages when the application attempts to playback movies.
If you're experiencing these types of errors, do the following:
a. Make sure you've properly installed Quicktime for Windows. During installatio
n,
the Apple Quicktime installer will ask the user if he/she wishes to remove
existing versions of Quicktime. It is important the user agree to this.
A safe method of installing Quicktime is to reboot the machine, and then
immediately reinstall the software. When the Quicktime installer runs,
allow it to remove any existing versions of Quicktime that it finds.
Sometimes people who already have Windows 95 and the 32-bit version of
Quicktime abort the Quicktime installer. Our software only supports the
16-bit version of Quicktime, so they MUST install it from the CD-ROM.
After installing Quicktime, verify that it is installed by launching
the Quicktime movie player application and sample movie.
b. If you are confident that Quicktime is installed correctly, and you're
still experiencing system lockups or errors during movie playback, then it
is possible that there is an incompatibility between Quicktime and your
video card. Quicktime adds a control panel applet to the Windows
Control Panel. Launch this applet (Quicktime, not Quicktime 32). From
within this applet there is a button that says [More]. Click this
button. Then a series of tabs appear. Choose the Video tab. Under
Optimization, there are several settings that the user can select
from. Choose lower and lower settings until you're successful in running Quickti
me movies.
c. Check the Apple Quicktime Web site (http://quicktime.apple.com). for updated
versions of Quicktime which could fix playback problems.
Q5. : I have a high-end (3D accelerating) video card. What can I do if I experie
nce
random crashes and General Protection Faults?
A: In the Windows Control Panel, double-click the icon for the regular, Quicktim
e
16-bit control panel (not the 32-bit). If the machine does not crash at this poi
nt, do the
following:
1.Choose More.
2.Choose the Video tab at the top of the screen.
3.Under Draw Method, choose Bitmap (BMP).
4.Click the Apply button.
If the machine crashes when the QT Control Panel Icon is clicked, reboot the
machine in safe mode (press F8 while the machine is rebooting) and follow the st
eps above.
If the machine crashes after the changes are made, reboot.
*Macintosh

Q1. : My machine freezes up (crashes) right after I type my name to log in.
A: We have determined that some Macintosh CD-ROM drivers, particularly those
shipped with Macintosh clones are incompatible with our software. We
recommend that you try rebooting with system extensions off. If you continue to
experience problems, contact the manufacturer of your computer to determine
if there are any other drivers available.
Q2. : The web browser feature states that there is not enough memory to launch t
he
browser or you must have the browser running already.
A: In some cases, the computer's web browser must have already been launched bef
ore
starting the program. You may also try increasing the virtual memory amount in t
he Memory
control panel. Restart the system for the changes to take effect.
Q3. : The program freezes when I select a web browser at the Select a web browse
r window.
A.: In cases where the program freezes when you select a web browser, you should
increase
the virtual memory amount in the Memory control panel. Restart the system for th
e changes
to take effect.
