Step by Step Procedures on how to install an Operating System into a
Computer
1. Turn on your computer then Insert the CD into the CD/DVD Rom or USB to the USB
Port that contains the file for installing Operating System then Check if it is working in
My Computer, if working is confirmed shut down the computer.

2. Turn on the computer and then press F10 to enter the computers BIOS.

Then you will be directed to the computer BIOS (basic input/output system), then go to the
Boot Tab then Change the First Boot Device and the Second Boot Device, if you are using a
CD then put CDROM, if USB then put Removable to the First Boot Device, then Put Hard Disk
for Second Device.

After that press F10 to Save and Exit from BIOS.

3. When the computer starts, press a key if you are asked if you would like to boot from

the disc by pressing any key. After you choose to start from the disc, Windows Setup
will begin loading.

4. Once Windows Setup loads, you'll be presented with a window. Select your preferred
language, keyboard type, and time/currency format, then click Next.

5. Click the Install now Button

6. Accept the License Terms. Read over the Microsoft Software License Terms, check I
accept the license terms, and click Next.

7. Select the Custom Installation

8. Delete all the partitions and then decide how many percent you want to divide for the

total partition for the 1st partition for the operating system and 2nd Partition for Back Up
files, then apply the 2 partition and choose what partition you will put the operating
system.

To be able to delete the partitions, select the hard drive from the
list of hard drives.

Click Drive options (advanced).

Click Delete from Drive options.

If all the partitions are already deleted, create a new partition

Select the hard drive from the list of hard drives.

Click Drive options (advanced).

Select New from Drive options.

Divide the size by using percentage, and click OK.

Also apply the other partition

9. Once you've decided on where to install Operating System, select it and click Next.

Windows will begin installing.

10. After the installation process has been done, you will decide on what you will name to

the computer.

11. Then after naming the computer, the operating system will proceed in setupping the

computer.

12. Then after finish set upping, check in My Computer if there is two partitions installed,

then format the Letter D: Local Disk
